'sovereign citizens'

Since I wasn't the original poster, I have no idea... And why would that be relevant?... The "Sovereign Citizens" killed two cops on-camera... Your point is....?

Excerpts of it were included in the 60 Minutes segment... But the whole video has been around since the event happened....

Warning to all the communists out there- the following post may be shocking to you.

I don't see much of a difference between these 'sovereign citizens' and a leftist group I ran into a few years ago in Evergreen. Really- the only difference is that the group of bums I ran into didn't have the money to properly arm themselves- but they believe the same exact things.

They were going around town bragging about how they have never paid taxes, and that they were not required to pay taxes because they have never filed a tax return. According to them - signing your first tax return legally puts you into the system- and they never signed. Now most of these guys were hippies- living about 6 to 8 per rented house. They lasted about a year here and then moved on. A few of um said they were from Michigan - and a few others said Oregon.

They were advocating violent opposition to any government- by any means they could get their hands on. As far as I know- they were all too stoned to actually take any action.

Sofar- I'm sticking to my new philosophy that I no longer oppose violence as a political solution. I will not be firing the first shot- nor will I be taking any action on my own as these 'sovereign citizens' seem to be doing. I simply no longer think that a peaceful solution is realistically possible when it comes to the leftists VS those of us who want smaller limited government.

I think the left has already trapped a majority of America with massive government, entitlements, welfare state, and government employment - that we are for the most part - cooked frogs. They set us up in a nice cool pot of water, set us up on the stove- and turned on the heat. Over the last 50 years- the water temp has been rising, and we are now cooked.

It is no suprise to me that individuals are starting to take action on their own. They have come to the same conclusion as me- that a comprimise is no longer possible. The probability of cutting our massive government back to it's intended size and scope is near zero. We are now on a course of economic turmoil the likes of which we Americans have never experienced before.

The question is- who will win in the end? Will the left win? Are we now a socialist country or will the necessary revolution take place that will restore America's values of freedom, liberty and free markets?

I am not suprised to see individuals taking action on their own. I expect we will see more and more of this until it becomes "egyptian". Even then it will take dramatic changes - just look at how much of a fuss all those looters in Wisconsin put up - and that was just on a collective bargaining issue.

I really can't blame people - like the video says - the people doing this stuff are typically in dire straights, lost their job, mostly males in their 30's. I'm older than that and still have a job, but I can still understand where they are coming from and as the government tightenes the screws on us- violence will become more and more prevalent.

Compromise is no longer an option- compromise is what got us to where we are today.

We already know BearMtnHIB is up for killing anyone who doesn't agree with his politics. I guess society has a certain level of human vermin that they can't do anything about.

It would appear they killed two cops slightly off-camera. Commentary doesn't prove anything. Stop jumping to conclusions LJ.
By the way, did the dead apparent cop killers fill in the "Sovereign Citizen" box on their drivers license form or how is it conclusive they really were?

Oh, I'm sorry... Were you privy to the police reports and the ballistic evidence that proved it was their guns that killed the cops? I keep forgetting.

Again, you obviously did not watch the 60 Minutes segment because they walked these two deviants all the way back to months before the cop-killings and showed them on video giving 'Sovereign Citizen' lectures...
