Not sure how that latest stream of puke has anything to do with your original question.
Why does it seem that people (usually on the left) feel that America 'deserves' to be taken down? In other words, why do people feel thta the world would be a better place if the US is not number 1, but rather number 6, 7, 8, etc?
Are you drinking? How is it tearing anything down to acknowledge a mistake? How would that possibly take the US down to number "6, 7, 8, etc"?
If you would like to have a clue of what you are posting rather than some stupid assertion, try reading.

Ah, the show me the exact word defense. From your link, bold mine. Carry on.
"Rove built his case around four quotes made by Obama:
Mr. Obama told the French (the French!) that America "has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive" toward Europe. In Prague, he said America has "a moral responsibility to act" on arms control because only the U.S. had "used a nuclear weapon." In London, he said that decisions about the world financial system were no longer made by "just Roosevelt and Churchill sitting in a room with a brandy" -- as if that were a bad thing. And in Latin America, he said the U.S. had not "pursued and sustained engagement with our neighbors" because we "failed to see that our own progress is tied directly to progress throughout the Americas."
In none of these cases does Obama actually use a word at all similar to "apologize."
help me out here....if the president goes to another country, shows them respect.....tells them the truth, even if it is sometimes about mistakes we have made.....then that is an apology tour? Would it be better to go and act like an arrogant ugly American who doesn't care about anyone else, or any other country, but ourselves? Will that keep our allies happy and willing to work with us? Was anything he said not true?
The best friends a person....or a country, can have are those who want to be your friend, not those who are afraid not to be your friend. This country did have some fences to mend, but that is not "apologizing".
First, I am not a conservative, nor a liberal. It seems that people need a label for some of you. Secomd, some of you have provena point: the proof is not a word or a phrase, but an attitude. You can be say what you want, but I do not think that I need to explain. To those of you that think that I am to the right or left - you are wrong. The only label that is importnt to me is that I am a citizen of this country and damn proud of what it has done and what it is capable of doing.

While in America and the Western world, criticizing your past is seen as a way to grow, in other countries, it is a sign of weakness. And you lose power in negotiations. If you appear weak when negotiating a new Middle East Peace accord, it is likely to not work.
Look how Obama backed into Libya, saying America was taking a back seat and let others plan and administer the intervention, and result, Qadaffi, is still in power and gaining strength.

I think you make way too much of a few words said by the president that indicate we, as Americans, are not unaware of mistakes we have made in the past. If I recall correctly Obama was well received by the other nations.
Obama didn't have the authority to go into Libya any more than he did....and the Republicans in congress made sure he knew that....but hey, better to blame Obama for not getting rid of Qadaffi....when we have neither the means nor the man power to do very much because of a few wars started by another president. It is all sequential......because of A (2 wars) we can't do B (engage in other wars) which leads to C (conservatives blaming Obama for a situation he didn't make).
He didn't need to go into Libya, He didn't need to stay in the other 2 wars (as he promised he wouldn't), giving him a D in leadership, & an A+ in lying to get elected.
BTW, There's other uprisings going on why are we igorning them? The Muslium Brotherhood is slowly taking over the Mid-east, and nobody SEEMS to give a damn. Isreal is getting surrounded and they will be pushed into a war, which under another President we would help, but I'm afraid, that since oblama has thrown them under the bus already, Isreal, will be surrounded, by glass deserts, because the world should realize by now that if you push Isreal into a corner ("the SEA") She will raise up, and defend her land, by whatever means. oblama is walking a very thin and very dangerous line.
Let's face it he needs MUCH better speech writers.
Which just goes to prove that Obama can't make everyone happy....nor should he try.
I do get quite amused by those who think they know what is best for this country........which is diametrically opposed to what someone else thinks is best for this country, which may or may not agree with what our president and our congress thinks. Ain't democracy wonderful?
