I would have gone had I known about this in time. Looks like fun.

I'm thinking of offering the Conifer Burning Man festival. It starts with a belt sander, lots of salt and doesn't add to existing problems.

I posted this so those who didn't know this fire took place could be aware of the danger in future Apogea festivals.

I still want to Know????
Why you didn't call the fire dept on your way home.
You could have done what the rest of the community could not without a ticket.
Did you have a ticket I thought they were sold out?
Did you call the Sheriff this morning so it could be sorted out before they are gone?
Did you call Bart Burger so he could sort it out?

Just a few things I would have done if I was concerned enough to go and then complain.

Did you miss the entire point Bailey Patriot.
No one is saying they thought this was OK by any means.
What WE are saying is that YOU should have been more proactive about the situation rather than waiting till everything is over and going to your local community websites to anonymously complain.
Geeeez Louise....Take some responsibility.
I really am surprised at you guys.
Just curious.......why would you attend such an event anyway?

Lot's of people are asking you questions and you don't seem to want to answer.
I know you guys.....you are good folks but with all due respect......this sounds a little wacky to me.

If someone posts, bear seen in such and such. Should we then question how did the poster get there, were they trespassing, why didn't they relocate the bear and so on, or simply say thanks for the heads up?

Why because we asked questions?
None of which have been answered.

If someone is going to all the trouble of going to an event.
Then inform the community about it we should ask what has been done or what we should do.
The event was supervised by the SO and the fire dept if they didn't do their job we should ask why.
If we should do something to help to make this event safer then we need to know.
Just complaining on here and the other board isn't going to help.JMO

How's this...Thanks for the heads up on letting us all know about situation after the fact that could have affected 1000's of people had it gone south.
Wayne is right......more should have been done a lot earlier on.
Something SHOULD have at least been done in the moment.
From the original post.....seems lots of people were breaking the rules of the festival. Laziness should not be an excuse for inaction. Just my opinion.
That is why I am shooting the messenger.

Bailey Patriot even has the audacity to blame all of us for not caring.
They were our eyes and ears......they did nothing to help protect their community.

At this time, there is not a county wide fire ban for Park County. Since the website for Apogaea says they get permits, it would appear to be a heads up about multiple and one large fire on private property during high fire danger warnings.
