I just got up (10am) took a morning walk to the 7-11 to get my Daily Racing Form, todays paper, todays dog track program and a giant CinnaBun for Lil Precious. I'm sitting at a table by the pool with a Caraf of (home brewed with Fiji water) Hula Daddy Kona Sweet ($59/lbs) coffee, some great smoke, a few hand picked yesterday oranges, our labtops, and a lil Cohiba Petite Corona for after my morning swim i'll take in an hour or so. Me and lil precious know of a completely secluded beach that can only be accesed by walking through about 100 yards of mangrove. I have to carry her, the cooler, the beach chairs, umbrella and everything else across but it's so worth it..It's completely private, so I think thats were we'll be this afternoon.... In the cooler is gonna be 8 Phuket Lagers, a bottle of Riesling, fresh strawberries, a half gallon of Simply Pineapple, a bottle of Abuelo Centuria and alot of ice. Just gonna sit in the beach chairs in the surf and get nicely toasted, do a little fishing and probably have sex on the beach- we'll get back to the room around 5, shower, maybe more sex if i'm lucky, then i'll grill some Flaming Minons, Giant Sea Scallops, and whatever I catch today while lil precious makes a salad of some kind, its different everyday- We'll eat on our penthouse balcony overlooking the ocean, then probably take a moonlit walk on the beach, a swim in the pool, then well probably hit the red box for a late night movie. And this will be the worst day of our summer vacation.

Why i'm I here telling you all this you ask? I'm here to tell you that you should retire As Soon As Possible..I was sitting here with a lung full of Euphoria Express, a mouthfull of Kona Sweet, my beautiful wife singing like a little song bird next to me, all this great reading material, (Tim Donaghy's Foul Play) and a wide open schedule for the next 50 years and I was thinking to myself: Oh my, those poor bastards back in Conifer gotta get up and go to work today!

Thanks for ruining a moment of my great morning guys..

VL, making up exaggerated vacation fantasy stories again? We have all seen pictures of your "summer camp" before. I don't see the pool anywhere though. Have fun! BTW, lots of people are retired and enjoying life, not just you.

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Anyone who buys any of VL's stories shouldn't be allowed to vote. I hope you were kidding with him here? If not then I understand how you believe things that you are told with little facts or truth behind it.

VL tells a nice story. Wouldn't it be great if what he told was true? I'd jump on that in a heartbeat.

Too bad that you felt the need to take my comment as an opportunity to bash me with your little "facts or truth" line, Mr. "I believe everything the blogs tell me".

Either we take everyone here at face value or no one. People keep telling me that everything is all make believe on these boards, that no one is on the up and up and everyone is trolling. If I believed that I wouldn't be here at all, so I try to treat everyone the way I'd like to be treated. It sounds like a lovely beach to me.

Why do so many people assume that the tropics are the best vacation place anyway? NO thanks. I wanted, heat, humidity and rude waitstaff, I'd have just stayed in the midwest.

Someone doesn't get that this IS the best place to be - and I wouldn't leave it for the world.
