Joe wrote: VL, making up exaggerated vacation fantasy stories again? We have all seen pictures of your "summer camp" before. I don't see the pool anywhere though. Have fun! BTW, lots of people are retired and enjoying life, not just you.
Hold on...I'll post pictures..I recreate the scene tommarow morning..And for the next 20
Joe wrote: VL does actually travel alot I think, and he used to post his pictures so it is probably true. Why you would be in the south in July is a good question though???
And having to go to 7-11 in the morning for coffee and a cinnabun??? Sounds like a cheap motel 6 VL. Don't they have breakfast or coffee in those penthouse suites? LOL
No, I made the Coffee and theres a 7-11 right near the Building..I need my Racing Form everyday. I usually get them the night before so I could read them in bed, but we were busy the night before. And we only go from the condo to the air conditioned car, or down to the pool, or out on the beach..We never get hot.

Anyone who buys any of VL's stories shouldn't be allowed to vote. I hope you were kidding with him here? If not then I understand how you believe things that you are told with little facts or truth behind it.
VL tells a nice story. Wouldn't it be great if what he told was true? I'd jump on that in a heartbeat.
I promised my wife I wouldn't post pictures about a year ago, but I will have to break the promise..
Boy it's hard to answer all these questions and clear up all these misconceptions, I'm only on the first page- i'm taking them one at a time...Patience everyone
Sounds like a good vaca to me VL! Have fun, make sure you bring us all back some souvenirs, and be back in time for the Annual Picnic!

Yeah it's great in Colorado, but I gotta move around..Before I retired I only had 7 weeks vacation time, 15 sick days, 2 emergency days, and 7 paid holidays off a year- so for almost 15 years I spent 40 weeks a year in Colorado..Thats enough. I love palm trees, I love the ocean, I love fishing, I love the horse, dog track and poker rooms. I love seafood, the resturants, I love walking around barefoot in a swim suit all day, the mornings on the beach here are better, and I love being at sea level. I jogged 12 miles on the beach yesterday, then I ran up 14 floors of stairs and imeadiatly did 250 pushups and I wasn't even winded...And Great Cuban cigars are available cheap here. And
I was born here, I went to college here, and for 2-3 months a year this is were I belong

Okay VL, I have to agree, I just plain got burnt out on the FLA thingy.... I do miss a few of those things... a little. Main thing I miss is the diving.... nothing beats a night dive on a calm summer night out off of Lauderdale beach...
So, enjoy your stay, have fun (I'm sure you will), win a few bets, enjoy some claws from Joe's and hoist a mojito for me.
And oh, btw. oh so VERY funny to see 'the one who has lost all credibility' questioning yours.... now THAT was a hoot! :rofl :rofl
