Explain to me why I should apologize for harboring doubts? You've met VL, with his wife, in person, I take it? Or do you just take his word that the woman is indeed his wife - which, BTW, he ddn't say - he merely said that this was a slide show. NO annotation of the photos.
VL has outright lied and bullshooted so many times throughout the forums, yet we're expected to take a set of pictures at face value AND aplogize? No ma'am. Please do point out the number of times he's apologized for his outright lies, especially when clearly disproven? No? He still insisted on insulting people, which has been the tone of this specific thread from the beginning - "look at me, look at my overweening ego, you all suck." It's not been a "hey, look at my cool vacation", it's been a "Hey, look at me bragging and telling you all what losers you all are" yet again.
Manners shown get similar manners returned. Sorry, I was raised in a time and society where bragging continuously just made people avoid you and was NOT polite manners. Talking about your insurance policies and just how rich you're gonna make your spouse when you kick off - when exactly did that become good manners? Let's check the Miss Manners book -braggarts are to be ignored, not rewarded.
So feel free to reward this braggart, Archer, but do NOT insist that I should - nor anyone else not your progeny -adhere to this new mode of "manners" where his behavior is acceptable.
And yes, offline, I would avoid VL like a plague. I do NOT need this kind of egotist in my life. On line, he's an amusing joke - the boy who has cried wolf so many times the villagers will point and laugh when the wolf rips out his entrails. I have met people like this in real life - talk such a story until you meet them, and then excuses, exucses, including people who have faked terminal illnesses and even their own deaths. It is truly an internet phenomenon. I will give VL that - he hasn't resorted to either of those - yet. Though he did use his unwitting wife as a scapegoat when his sensibilities were "offended".

And how about as soon as VL goes back and apologizes for the hundreds of lies and all the slander he has said on here about many people, then we will look into thinking that he has some decency in him. He can start by apologizing that Science Chic and I cheated in destroying him in the electikon on here. And he can also apologize for claiming over and over that I cheated when I beat the so called professional handicapper in the football pool. You guys need a new hobby.
