Actually, I can see why these verdicts happened.

These trials should not be televised. Talk about a miscarriage of justice imo. I'm sure it's because they couldn't prove EXACTLY how the little girl died. Never seen more liars in one room other than congress.

And they convicted her on 4 counts of "providing false information to law enforcement officers", i.e., lying...

What the Prosecution DIDN'T prove is HOW THE CHILD DIED, beyond a reasonable doubt; and provide any bullet-proof evidence tying her to the murder, beyond a reasonable doubt.

Was she a liar?... You bet... Were there liars in her family, and all over the trial? You bet... Did the prosecution prove her guilt, beyond a reasonable doubt? Not even close, or they wouldn't have returned a not-guilty verdict in 11 hours...

It's just too bad the child wasn't found earlier so they could determine the cause of death, that little party bitch just dodged the biggest bullet of her pathetic life.

Shock. I have to agree with LJ on this one. While I think she did kill her daughter, I thought the evidence wasn't enough.

She lied left and right.... I am shocked.

OJ was dumb enough to continue being a criminal, Casey will probably get some reality show now and get rich. There will never be justice for that little girl now. I'm sure the jurers all know she was guilty of the death (probably an accident) but first degree murder is such a high bar with circumstantial evidence. I think the prosecution should have gone for a manslaughter charge since they couldn't pinpoint the exact cause of death.

I hope she has to live a life of seclusion but the media scum will surely find a way to keep her in the spotlight and earning a living off of her child's death. We live in a sick world.
