Bachmann's Former Church Defends Anti-Catholic Views

Not necessarily. You would have to ask her. And I don't believe with everything my pastor always says either. But I will tell you this. If any pastor repeated over and over their hatred of America and disdain for another race, and kept repeating racial slurs, I would walk out immediately and sure would not call them my mentor! HUGE difference!

Nice try.....

Given the fact that most of the people on here who hide behind "God" obviously have a deep-seated hatred for the rest of their fellow man, and trot religion out to make themselves feel better, they are hypocrites of the first order. If it's true that there IS a God, and if it's true that he sees into people's hearts and minds, some of you right-wing haters are in deep sh*t...

I don't "look forward" to something after I die because either there is something or there isn't. I happen to believe there isn't. If there is, I don't believe it's some invisible man sitting on a throne telling me whether I get to walk "streets of gold" or not... Jeez, people... I don't buy into the fairy tale, and I don't believe in the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy either...

But if you so-called believers actually LIVED your beliefs instead of trotting them out when it suits you, you would have a lot more credibility.

I'll tell you what, if my church had a doctrine in writing like this:

The denomination says on its website: "We identify the anti-Christ as the papacy. This is an historical judgment based on Scripture."

I'm pretty sure that those attending are aware of it and believe it. It would not have to be repeated over and over, since it's right there in black & white, for all the members to see.

Why are you willing to give Bachmann a break on this and yet criticize Obama for the same thing? Is it because you don't agree with the message of one and agree with the message of the other? Seriously? You don't see the hypocrisy?

A lot of us do try to live our faith LJ. It's easy to try to pretend that a few angry souls represent all people of faith. Even Jesus wrestled with his anger at times. All we can do is try to walk the path he laid out for us and when we find ourselves in the briars of anger, prejudice or greed do our best to find our way out again.

'True Christians' DO live our beliefs. I may fight and argue over politics but I am not judging you for yours. I just feel sorry for people who don't believe. I don't HATE anyone. I don't HATE those who have abortions, but I don't believe in it. Are their extreme judgemental hypoctites in religions? Of course and I don't feel they are 'True' Christians. And I agree it is those people who give Christianity a bad name.

You just gave Christianity a bad name with your judgment.

Another issue I had with your post - You say that I would have to ask Bachmann to determine if she believed that the Pope was the anti-christ. Will you extend the same courtesy to Obama? Oh, wait, you've already looked into his heart and determined (judged) that he believes everything that Wright preached.

Hello, why do you all think I highlighted "Former".
How long has she been oput of this "church".
oblama would still be in his Hate Whitey chruch if it wasn't for him running for a 2nd term, he also brain washed his kids for 20 years.
WHY did Mrs. Bachamann leave this "chruch? When? For Politicial Reasons? or Could it be because she didn't agree with what was being preached?

For me & archer: Source Please

EDITED: I know the brats aren't 20 years old, so I'll say their whole lifes.

Not at all. Toatlly different! It is biblical and it is an interpretation of who people feel it is. Could it be? Who knows. But there is no denying what Obama's MENTOR said. He hates America and Whitey! 100% different and you know it.

Six days before she declared, she resigned from the church. Why? Political reasons? Do you think if she wasn't running for President, she would still be a member of that church? Maybe? Just maybe?

Six days before Bachmann officially launched her presidential campaign last month, the Minnesota Republican and her family verbally requested to leave Salem Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Minn., which is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).

Why do you give her a pass and not Obama for identical behavior?

So, you admit that it is the content of the message that makes you a hypocrite. Thanks for clarifying that.

When Obama sits in a church that has messages with which you do not agree, it's different. Yet, when Bachmann sits in a church that calls the Pope of billions of people "the anti-christ," you're okay with that. Gotcha.
