It's OK with me if you have a different view of what the federal government should be jmc, but have the courage of your convictions to conduct the battle of ideas without resorting to infiltrating the opposition and sabotaging the debate.
Dang, you know you're right... We shouldn't be like those GOP slime up in Wisconsin who registered as Democrats so they could force unopposed Democrats in recall elections into unnecessary primaries.... I keep forgetting that if the Republicans do it, it's "democracy", and if the Democrats do it, it's being "an agent provocateur within the party with which you most disagree in an attempt to homogenize the representation is to act in a manner that thwarts rather than advances the most basic principles of self government."
Cripes! How stupid of me!!
(And seriously, since there won't be a primary for Jefferson County Dems, I think I WILL re-register, just so's I can "further democracy" on the Republican side....)

I proudly admit to registering as a Dem so I could vote against Bill Clinton twice! Voted for Gov. Jeffy Brown and he actually won the Colorado primary.

This from the person who bugged me everyday for a year that I was a psycho because I was a registered rep since '84. I didn't want to be an independent because I wanted to vote in the primaries. Only took me 3 years to convince him I guess. LOL
My husband is a registered Republican.....originally because he was a conservative....he still is, but the GOP isn't a conservative party anymore, according to him. He keeps his registration so he can vote in their primaries.
