Oh, I've seen plenty. A group of selfish people decided that they could flex their muscles and destroy this country. Why? Just because they could. Who cares anymore..
America means NOTHING to them...

Had the original cut, cap and balance passed we would not have experienced the downgrade. Way to go dumbass Democrats!

Archer, let's cut the BS and political crap. It wasn't the tea party doing this, it's been everyone in our Federal government. I do not think the Tea party s responsible for new expenditures, quite the opposite. And as reminded before there is NO tea party, but a group of people who have been anointed with the label tea party, if by themselves or otherwise I could give a rats a**. It really is not relevant. Even now, the only thing that comes to mind is playing a blame game???? It's time to put on your hard hat and buckle down to do something about it in stead of playing a lot of lip service. :bash

The Debt ceiling had nothing to do with "new expenditures", and this debt ceiling debacle just cost us billions of dollars

Ya that. One has to be living in another universe to be focusing on this rather than how to survive what lies ahead. This will have global reaches, not just the US.

edited to add. Best I leave because I'm so pissed now that I'm likely to say things to people I will later regret. That said, all I need to do is look around and see who is going to have a backbone and who will continue to stand by and be content with political posturing. It is sickening.

S&P didn't downgrade our credit rating because of "new expdentitures" they downgraded it because they think Congress is being held hostage by a bunch of politically-motivated clowns, preventing it from being able to competently deal with the debt crisis. Or much of anything, for that matter.

This is a clear signal that they think our Congress isn't capable of managing the affairs of this country.

Spin it however you want Rockdoc...this would NOT have happened if the Tea. Party had been willing to work with both Democrats and Republicans and created a good bill that addresses both spending cuts and revenue incresases.

Yes...I hold them responsible and I think the American people will too. I'll worry about just what a devastating effect this will have on us all....right after I vent a whole lot of pent up anger on those arrogant SOBs who think they know it all. Well they don't look so smart now.
