Regardless of race, I am surprised Mike Vick was able to be accepted so quickly by America. People love their pets, but I guess they love successful, exciting football players more.
I did hear a defense of Vick by an African American that claims deer hunting is just as horrible as dog fighting that I found outrageous.
True, the animal dies in deer hunting, but we try to kill as humanely as possible, and we are not torturing the animal before it dies and we use the meat the animal provides. Vick has killed and tortured many more dogs than I have killed deer.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
I think the fact that he was mentored by Tony Dungy and seemed to truly show his renewed faith in Christ. People forgive those who are actually contrite.
Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!
I do not believe in punishing someone for the rest of their lives. He should not have animals again, if he wants to help animals he should do it by helping others but he paid hid debt and has every right to move on and play football.
I really do not know what black and white have to do with it but that pic is freaky.
I like his side of the story. The race reversal is one of those what-if scenarios that goes so far beyond any action/behavior/decision that speculating on it is a waste of time. At least the picture wraps up those 1000 words quickly.
"I'm very happy we were able to reach an agreement...It's a product of all the hard work Michael has done to better himself over the last couple of years, both on and off the field."
