The President's Jobs Speech

It's nice to have a magic ball to look into when you need it.....

In other news:

The Tea Party Express called the jobs plan President Barack Obama laid out to a joint session of Congress Thursday night "yet another speech with old, unworkable solutions."

The Tea Party Express is a Republican group associated with the Koch brothers. In a prepared statement, chief strategist Sal Russo denounced the $447 billion plan that included tax breaks for businesses, hiring credits, extension of unemployment benefits and tax breaks for families.

But you notice that the GOP has been somewhat muted this time... They had a pre-speech meeting and realized that after their sterling performance on the debt-ceiling debacle, and bringing the country to the verge of collapse...and not doing a damn thing to create any jobs in 21 months, their approval rating is 3%...

Hmmm... Ya think we ought to "keep doin' what we're doin'?"..... Maybe not....

Mike Rosen on KOA was questioning the location of the speech. Why did the President make it like a mini State of the Union? Michele even invited guests.

Shouldn't he have spoken from the Oval Office on camera like most previous POTUS?

Maybe he did it this way to further divide the nation, instead of working toward a new bipartisan bill like he promised when running for the office.

Or maybe, since it was largely directed at Congress, he chose to speak directly to them, face-to-face.

I can't follow your tortured logic of Obama choosing to speak to speak to Congress would "divide the nation."

Rosen would find fault with anything.

Maybe this was actually more a campaign speech than a speech to the legislative branch. If the GOP doesn't pass this bill, Barack will run on the idea that the only thing keeping the US from full employment is the TEA Party. (Copying Truman's re-election campaign?)

Maybe the Repub's should let it pass, let Obama get his way, and when inflation takes off, and unemployment increases, Obama will lose in 2012.

OR, (God forbid for YOU), employment increases, inflation (which is non-existent at the moment, and has been since Obama took office) will stay the same, and Obama will win in 2012...

We can't have that, now can we...?

No we can't have that!
Oh and by the way- anything the congress does to keep Obama from getting elected will help the country tremendously, and save us Trillions of dollars. It would help millions and millions of people and It should be their #1 highest top priority.

Get Obama OUT!!! At any and all costs!

I think we are well aware that this is how many on the right feel.....it's all about defeating Obama, even if the USA is trashed in the process. I don't believe the "greater good" argument, defeating Obama is not about saving our country, it's about saving the Republican party, pure and simple.
