I know you consider it a joke, but I bet that attractive people do tend to face lessor sentences or are even aquitted more times than ugly folk.

It also didn't hurt that she comes from a media hotbed like America.
If she had been an illegal immigrant from Sudan, I am betting she would still be in jail.

Just like I think the idiot American hikers were lucky they were from the USA. If they have been Iraqi, they probably would have been tortured, etc.

I'm not so sure that the idiot hikers got off easy. After all bail for them was $1million.

Oman paid the bail, and they looked better fed/shape than most of the people who come out of middle eastern prisons.

You may be right, but it is counter to everything I know to be true about how Americans are viewed and treated in other countries.

I understand that Oman paid the bail, but I'm sure there is more to that story that we haven't been told, like why.

I would recommend reading the book "Murder In Italy."

It details the murder and trial and railroading by the British and Italian tabloids.

I watched today's verdict on my Roku -- streaming BBC World News and they had it as the "Meredith Kercher Murder Verdict," since the victim was British.

After reading the book, which details the "evidence" the prosecutor and the trial, I believe she was innocent.

And yes, she should have flown home the day after the murder in 2007, as her mother had requested. She was manipulated by an Italian prosecution that made up its mind in the first few days of the investigation.

As much as people complain about our legal system, watching this unfold certainly makes one appreciate it.

Yeah they are a lot more forgiving. We have 13% of the world population and 25% of the worlds incarcerated. Texas alone has killed like 450 people in the last 10 years or so. Does Italy even have a death penalty? We like to think of ourselves as the land of the free, but the numbers tell a different story my friends.

Were not so great

Iran and Russia are both accepting immigrants from the USA if you don't like this country.

Shall we compare taking away rights by Obama to anything and everything that the Tea Party stands for or are you just going to continue to spout your Union thug bullsh** remarks. I can name a number of times that your Unions and your Messiah have completely circumvented the Constitution and the Amendments that give us our rights.

You get stupider every day with these remarks VL so back to the ignore button and you can your friend Wayn-O can converse together.

I'd like to see that list.
