All unions do is fight to get people higher wages, better safer working conditions, benifits such as health insurance and paid vacation time. All they do is help people. All you crackers do is try to knock down wages, deny healthcare and empower corporations over "we the people"
I never thought she was guilty and I'm glad she's being released. She will have quite the story to tell/sell. I agree with HA, watch yourself in a foreign territory.

She's lucky she did'nt get convicted in Texas because she'd be on death row now, and I think the court of appeals there hasn't reversed a conviction...Ever

Texas Death Row inmate Cleve Foster won his third reprieve Tuesday from the United States Supreme Court in one year, according to the office of Wichita Falls native Greg Abbott.
Abbott is the Texas Attorney General.
The decision in the Foster case may affect death penalty cases in Wichita Falls as the entire state will be bound by whatever ruling the United States Supreme Court makes.
On one previous occasion Foster had completed his last meal and was en route to the death gurney when a last second reprieve from the High Court saved him.
On another occasion he was less than an hour away from death's door when he received a delay.
This latest delay marks the third in 2011, the Appeals courts have stepped in to prevent his execution.

You don't even know what you're doing Nymisis
VL, you forgot to say union demands for higher wages, etc, drive jobs overseas. One reason why the only unions expanding these days are goverment employees. Hard to move those jobs overseas, but some strapped municipalities are looking into contracting with non-union private industry.
Think Amanda's people are already working on a book and a national tour? Or think she will lay low for a long time?

Of course, points like that do not compute. The fact that union shops put out products that are not priced competitively is another issue. Also ignored in his talking points is the mayrygoround. Those overpaid wages for grunt work, great health care, and paid vacations are eventually paid by everyone else as it drives up the production cost. Consequently, it begins to put products out of reach for many low income workers. The argument that they need to be paid more so they can have all that they can't afford is BS. Unions certainly are not the solution but a contributing problem. They suck dues from workers that can't afford to give them up, but believe like VL that this is the only way they will move forward... yep... like a mouse going round and round on a tread wheel that has no beginning or end. But to reason and see the truth of the matter is not what union supporters want. Instead they blame everyone and everything else for their shortcomings. Those who make something of themselves are seen as thieves, who obviously must be stealing from them. The same for corporations that dare to make a profit. Oh man, the stupidity is beyond belief.
Given what the media reported as evidence and the fact that we really have no clue as to what the evidence for and against here was, I find it difficult to cast judgement as to her guilt. I'm no expert on the psychology of guilty murderers, but it seems that she does not act like one. Instead I'm reminded about the black man who was incarcerated for, what?, 20 years before being found innocent and released. It's best to be cautious on casting guilt and placing someone's life in prison especially if the evidence is controversial. What is more appalling is that justice is at times fabricated to bring closure.
Given the turn of events this year with controversial judicial decisions, laying low might be a good idea. Possible, if there is support that allows her to do that. Otherwise, it's best to cash in on her experience if the opportunity is there. It cost her plenty already and opportunity is a fleeting thing.

Not saying she's guilty, just asking a valid question about a government and judicial system that is loves graft.
And in this I sense jealousy? I guess, you want to decide how money in a corporation ought to be spent? WHile there are dismal executive failures who do little for a company, there are also executive genius who bring companies from the abyss to unchartered heights. Steve Jobs comes to mind. I'd say those execs are worth everything they get paid (I wish I had some of it). You may wish to disagree, but vision coupled with bold execution is not bestowed on the masses, or even the elite. It is these superstars that allow a company to prosper and keep its employees. And no. Executives are not why job go overseas. For that you need to look no further than corporate regulations and /or unions.
It likely is best not to speculate about things you have no direct knowledge about. Do you have personal evidence that what you claim is true, or is you supposition based on what you read? I take it you believe everything you read about our government and judicial system too? I'm just saying that what you say casts a questionable questionable accusation on the verdict suggesting that you are not in agreement with the judgement of those who are actually there and getting all the information which you are not privileged to hearing.
After having read the book "Murder In Italy" I believe the six jurors came up with only reasonable verdict, given the sloppy forensic investigation and lack of evidence in the case.
