Leaked cables show Japan nixed a presidential apology to Hiroshima and Nagasaki for using nukes to end the overseas contingency operation known as World War II. Will the next president apologize for the current one?

Would Japan have apologized to us if they had gotten the A Bomb ready before us? From what I have read they were rushing to do the same to us.

It shouldn't be "would Japan have apologized." I like to think the United States is the one who sets the standard -- above and beyond what other nations would do.

We remain the only country in the world to have used atomic weapons on a civilian population.

I'm still waiting for Obama's apology to the USA for his dismal performance running this country into deficit hell. Heck, he has apologized for everyone else.
