Denver-Born Teen Killed In U.S. Drone Attack

DENVER -- A suspected CIA drone strike that killed the 16-year-old Denver-born son of an al-Qaeda member in Yemen has fueled anger in the Arab world and ignited a legal and ethical debate about the Obama administration's use of remote-control killings.

Abdulrahman al-Awlaki was the son of radical Yemen cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. The father was born in New Mexico, graduated from Colorado State University and once lived in Denver.

Both father and son were American citizens, killed in separate airstrikes in Yemen in the past month.

Out of curiousity... does it matter 'where' a terrorist is born? Sometimes the media acts like "we shouldn't be killing our own" but seriously now, terrorism is just that... an act against fellow US citizens.

Does the name Ted Kaczynski come to mind anyone?

So you're classifying this kid as a terrorist?

What exactly did he do other than look for his father?

Added to all the other impeachable offenses, given to Eric toilet paper Holder, this will result in ..........................Obama being promoted to King of the World?

Irony? This kid was probably collateral damage, but considering the Islamic terrorists have strapped children and even the mentally retarded up with suicide vests and exploded them in civvie areas, having them complain about killing kids takes 'nads.

And unintended consequences? Might make some people reconsider joining a johad if they have to not only risk their own life, but also their children.

During the years of the Lebanese Beirut kidnappings, some Soviets were also taken by terrorists. The KGB hunted down and killed the family members of the terrorists. Thier hostages were released.

I'd like to hear where the Obama administration assumes it has the power to assassinate US citizens without the due process of law.

You can kill terrorists- american citizens have the right to a trial by jury. This guy's father should have been arrested and tried- and a 16 year old kid?

I been saying for some time - just wait till they turn this technology on citizens- and it looks like Obama has done it. Sure didn't take him long!

Obama is out there saying how great this was- my opinion is that there's a good chance Obama has comitted a serious crime here- and a total violation of their constitutional right to trial as citizens of the USA.

Are we next?

HL has noticed that not only is the Obama administration made of Teflon, but when they do stuff that would earn prison terms for ordinary people, the press is likely to give them kudos.
New York Times: Bush killed children accidentally, he should be impeached.
New York Times: Obama and Holder supplied guns to foreign crime lords who killed American agents with them. Praise Obama for exposing how American guns are crossing the Mexican border.

Exactly. Was anyone really thinking justice might be served?
