This could be really bad for Cain.

Yes that's exactly what I call all of this- hyper sensitivity to anyone and anything. While all of these complaints may ruin Cain's election campain, they do not rise to the level of a crime.

I've worked for a**holes in many corporations- and my only recourse was to leave the company. That's exactly what I did. I've been treated unfair and that's a part of life. I think we all can see now what harm government can do with a regulation like the sexual harassment law.

Thousands of complaints are filed every year now- the vast percentage of which are probably not related to a real crime at all. Any (woman mostly) employee can now use this as a way to harass an employer - causing the company to spend thousands of dollars needlessly on litigation - not to mention the thousands of hours of wasted time. In the end most of the accusations are baseless and without merit. I'd like to see these companies sue these people back for damages after their claims are found to be fraudulent.

A joke e-mail does not rise to the level of sexual harassment- if this woman is that hyper sensitive to an e-mail joke- she is probably overblowing the incident with Cain as well. And we are seeing a pattern of this with all Cains accusations- with the 2 women who have complained in public so far. The first women was exposed as having been involved in litigation after litigation with her employers.

If I were the president- I would fight to repeal the sexual harassment law and wipe it off the books- along with hundreds of other laws and regulations that have businesses afraid to hire and expand.

These are the kinds of regulations that have resulted in the worst economy since the great depression.

Every woman who files a hysterical complaint resulting from her over reaction and hyper sensitivity to what some co-worker said or e-mailed is directly contributing to the destruction of this economy.

If you don't like you're employer or job- you are free to leave- just like us men.

Leadership is not about legal issues --- it's about values.

This guy seems to be someone other than the baseball, hot dog, apple pie, and Chevrolet person that his handlers would like us to think he is.

A pattern of allegations? Could it be a pattern of political slander designed to take him out early? Did you hear the presser? I only heard part of it where he went all in and denied ever knowing her. I heard something about a lie detector test but had to get out of the car. Did he offer to take one?

I want some facts before I write him off. Got something other than a pattern of allegations.

YES, he offered to take one and then within the SAME breath, stated that he would NOT unless there was a good reason to.....I believe that is a direct quote. JMO......there is a distinct pattern here and it is my belief the women are attempting to bring THAT pattern into the light of day......I believe there will be MORE coming forward (additional women, who will state the same problem)

The other thing he said that bothered me just like with the first accussations, he said he does not at all remember that lady and never will, unless something comes back to him as he doesn't know how the mind works. Huh?

He also said that sexual harassment "is a very serious matter and it should be taken seriously" -- the night after joking about it with Jimmy Kimmel.

Cain’s unfunny ‘jokes’ make it easy to imagine harassment

Most women recognize the type of guy who makes borderline remarks as a way of testing the waters. It’s always a joke – unless it happens to spark some interest. If a lady is offended, she’s a humorless prude. It’s like when comedian Stephen Colbert endorsed Cain, “unless you’re not into him, in which case, I’m just joking.” Cain may have done nothing wrong , and Iowa caucusgoers so far seem willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But if he’s the brilliant businessman he claims to be, he should have known that remarks of a personal nature can be damaging in the workplace. Even a dozen years ago, employers were training managers to avoid becoming targets for harassment lawsuits.

Cain already has a gender gap among likely Republican caucusgoers in Iowa. Women prefer Mitt Romney over Cain, 27 percent to 17 percent, according to the Register’s Iowa Poll, released Saturday. Cain’s handling of these allegations, which leaves the door open for a steady drip of negative revelations, won’t help him win over female caucusgoers.

Huntsman is not pandering to the lowest creeps, like the viking, it means he will most likely lose, but I would consider voting for him for the times we live in. The wing nuts will not provide a rational alternative. THEY LOSE!

Read this... this was sent to the Tea Party members.......Ouch!!

A prominent Tea Party leader is calling for Herman Cain to drop out of the presidential race.

Judson Phillips, the head of Tea Party Nation, slammed Cain's response to accusations that he had sexually harassed a number of women during the 1990s.

"Herman Cain has got to go," Judson said in an email to Tea Party Nation members. "I do not believe Cain’s accusers. There are too many questions about them. The allegations are not why Cain should leave. The campaign’s response is why he should now withdraw."

Phillips said he still liked Cain personally but that his campaign's failure to prepare for the story even though they knew about it a week before it broke showed that he was not ready to be president.

"Ten days in, the Cain campaign is still stumbling around like newly castrated cattle. [Campaign manager] Mark Block should have been gone nine days ago. Cain should have a competent team in place by now as well as someone really good at crisis management. So far, it is not there," Phillips continued.

"If Cain cannot run his own campaign, how is he going to run the country? A few days ago, I would have been willing to accept Cain as the nominee. Cain was not my first choice but I could have easily supported him. No longer."

They will go after Newt and Perry next. But they are much better prepared to handle it. If you read what was said above, it was the inept way that he handled this that showed the Tea Party that he is not prepared to run a country.

Great! Thanks SC for getting rid of the title of my thread and throwing it in here. Now people have no clue what it is about! Sorry Tea party people, I posted a thread about the Tea Party but SC in her infinite wisdom threw it in the long thread. I am sure a bunch of her friends will jump on me for this. Go ahead. Have fun.

So Tea Party Nation... where does that group stand on the number of members as compared to other National Tea Party groups? I get them confused.

Does anyone really expect Cain to say, "Oh, I see the head of one of the Tea Party groups wants me to step down, so I will" ??

Forums by nature can be difficult to navigate if there are too many threads with the same subject. The mod team was not trying to dis the tea party. Your post will most likely get more exposure by being on this thread and your post was not deleted or altered in any way. This is all about organization. 285 Bound does not moderate based on content just organization.

Viking, you have a good thing going here. Relax.
