Here is a perfect example of the difference between the Tea Party American Patriots and the 'Occupy Everything' whiners. The Tea Party is out there trying to support businesses and their fellow Americans in this struggling economy, where as the Occupy people are trying to hurt businesses and cause more financial hardship to Americans.
Tea party has been bought and paid for by special interests since day one. Special interests are using this voting block to get the very things the tea partiers were protesting against, done.

So how is the Tea Party fighting against a group trying to stop people from buying anything and hurt Americna businesses, a bad thing?
You both miss the point and the beauty of both movements. They promote the will of the people over the massive power of the government machine and Wall Street- both who grind the average American under their wheels. By opposing either one, you promote the emasculation of the American citizen. You've fallen into the classic trap of divide and conquer. Congratulations. They win.

So you support the OWS people protesting in front of local businesses trying to disuade people from shopping there and thus further hurting that business, their ability to make money and possibly hire more people, and thus the economy in this nation overall? Sorry, I only support those who are trying to build up and support businesses and America.

Are you for real? Do you want to really promote the US where shopping is our core. Equal rights to peddle your goods and protest. I am a retailer. I don't want them in front of my store, but it would not make them un American in any way if they were. America is a bunch of people...that happen to also have businesses, not the other way around. This is not some liberal rant, just that my voice does not get trumped by a business interest, they simply get to compete or cooperate, with (and I know that no one ever wants to hear this word let alone live it) consequences. Some of the consequences of getting all the hot business in New York is you are subject to bad govt, the protesters, terrorists, mobs, crime, and a sh** ton of shoppers. Can't just have the good stuff, that ain't real.
They are all a bunch of winers until they actually insight a change, wining about the world, exercising their rights on both parties. BTW a change would be something you don't have to describe to most people to understand. So if you feel the need to tell all the great changes that OWS or the tea party has made, save your fingers...slight slight slight shifts in policy that amount to nothing are not changes, they are slight shifts.
I really feel that both groups are doing an enormous service for our nation, doing what most people don't have the care or will to do, effective or not. The slowing of a few businesses in towns is a small price to pay for a voice and no one has to negotiate anything, it just works out.Just think of the sick laws that could or have been written to restrict free voice. Also are you sure that the OWS has had a net negative effect on all business and people in the area, I suspect perhaps not? (reported drink a lot of coffee) Financially or otherwise? Also, when the Tea Party protests, how far are they typically from open businesses, do they typically protest in empty woodlots or fields, specific plans to not hurt nearby businesses or do they also protest down town or near high traffic areas? Do you think real moral American protests happen where no one is already doing anything?....like here.
The OWS'rs protest the bank bailouts by the government, then demand the governmennt bail out their student loans. They complain about the lack of jobs, but then protest and try to bring down the job ceators. These people are clueless as to how an economy works ( a free one anyway).
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Not only that but did you see that segment on 60 minutes or one of those shows where they set up a booth with over 120 companies offering jobs from lower wages up to many jobs making a lot of money. They got treated like crap and told them getting a job won't help. All day they only got something like 3 applications. They are a joke!
Agreed, they seem to have no idea that the government creates NOTHING, it's the people who have started businesses that they should be supporting and if they don't like the rules, they should protest the government...but obviously they have not figured that out yet.
