As soon as a conservative who can stand on his own comes along and doesn't take this crap from the socialists on 285 Bound, there's suddenly a flurry of activity on here trying to moderate my comments and my tone. You tip your partisan hand by doing it in public, on the forum instead of in PM's. It's sort of like Herman Cain. The liberals basically told that conservative black that he's an "uppity black" and this is what happens to conservative blacks who try to run in the political arena. That's what you are attempting here, to let the conservatives know that they are NOT free to comment back the same way the socialists do on here.

You're "can't we all just get along" song-and-dance is a tired rubric designed to make you look fair and balanced when you are certainly not fair or balanced. Wouldn't it be simpler to just delete certain accounts. At least you wouldn't have to publicly sound like a hypocrite? Just make then "disappear" and no discussion, no phony posturing.

I'll cut back. I'm just interested in seeing how well your friends on here follow suit. And yes, I'll be making a list and checking it twice, we're gonna find out how serious you really are. So, to start, an apology from me. I promise to refrain from the invectives and calculated taunts.

In case you hadn't noticed, those posts that I cited were from multiple people, none of which were LJ, complaining about the tone of certain posts. I don't need to protect LJ, she is perfectly capable of standing up for herself, and it's pretty obvious no one should take VL seriously; my concern is how your posts appear to everyone else who reads this forum, especially the guests and infrequent visitors. I have no problem with you or any of the other conservatives (or any other label you wish to throw in there) on here, including residenttroll, unless they start insulting and belittling other posters personally. Everyone is entitled to voice their opinion on the material that anyone posts, but calling the poster stupid for not closely reading what you've posted, as if what you put up is God's gift to the world via you, is where I draw the line and call you out. And when I post that publicly, I am doing so as myself, Science Chic, expressing my own opinion which I reserved the right to do when I bought 285Bound. Let me make this very clear: as CG said very well below, we do not moderate based on emotion or personal feelings toward any poster, and especially no one gets special treatment from me. I don't care who is conservative and who is liberal, if there's an issue, I address it objectively, fairly, and equally. I wouldn't even give my own mother a pass. Your posts weren't edited or removed so your complaint about being moderated is without merit - this is the adult board where you get back what you give out and people call you out when you're being rude and trollish. And if someone is being rude to you, you have the choice of how to respond and if it belongs in the Ring, we'll move it there and let you have at it. We aren't censoring based on content, but we aren't going to sit back and let you harass our other members either. Nor are we going to delete accounts just because you don't like someone, or even because we personally disagree with them - this site is about free speech. If you personally don't like a certain posters' comments, then put them on Foe, it's why it's there.

No one would be more upset than you guys if she stopped posting or stopped being peppery, as it would be a lot harder to get away with your bad behavior without having her to blame it on.
