Little Miss Sunshine rofllol

Yea. Like that's ever gonna happen! :bash

No one would be more upset than you guys if she stopped posting or stopped being peppery, as it would be a lot harder to get away with your bad behavior without having her to blame it on.

My post wasn't intended to validate whether people would be upset or not if the nasty commenting stopped, it was to suggest that it just stops, starting with myself, who has been as active in the nasty comments group as anyone, if not more so. Suggesting that people would be upset is like Iran saying "we are not going to stop trying to build a nuclear arsenal because then the United States would be upset that we proved them wrong."

Come on, I'm suggesting the FU attitude stops. We don't have to tag demeaning epithets every time we type a politicians name, or when we respond to a ideological opposite. President Obama is President Obama, not Obama the Messiah. Vice Lord is not a jock-wad just because I don't like his comments. And I'm making myself an example... I'm guilty of these things first. But I'm suggesting right here, now, that it stops.

It can't hurt... can it?

I've got no argument with this. But your first post had a different tone. It sounded more like "I'll stop when THEY stop".

No... I've stopped... right now... but there is no recognized truce here... if this attitude is not embraced by all parties, it's going to fall apart.

JMO, it would be a big help if everyone would quit making the generalized 'conservatives this' and 'liberals that' statements which are invariably largely incorrect and do nothing to help the discussion.

It wouldn't hurt anything to remove that type of statement from signature lines too.

Done. I should have brought that up. I agree. It won't do much good if the tone and tenor of someone's comments are respectable and then there is a constant and repetitive slam in the signature tagged to each message. I hope others will follow my lead and change theirs too. An adult can easily recognize if their signature is inflammatory.

I'm not sure if you have absorbed the intent of this thread and my comments. I has hoping that the forum users would take a little time out from nasty comments and taunts and consider trying to hold adult like conversations. And I was including myself at the top of the list as someone who is most guilty of rude commenting. If you don't intent to join this effort, that's OK, I'm sure we can all respect that.

'Respect' is not exactly the word I'd use...

Maybe Tolerate?
Ignore?
Dismiss?
