CHP cannot use radar on interstates, trucks 55 mph and limited or no high speed chases. Saves MANY lives.

I dearly love BOTH CAL and CO.....irrelevant.

BUT the autobhan in Germany has no speed limits on cars (trucks yes) - , the Germans build cars that can be reliable at 150 MPH and the drivers are a bit brighter.

I also dearly love Germany.

It doesn't seem German drivers fare any better than other countries.

This is not the direct fault of the cops - doing their jobs is a direct link to the laws generated in the society. Hitler's thugs were just "doing their jobs" - to take it to the extreme.

MY homework? I wasn't the one throwing out unsupported "facts". It makes your information suspect if you cannot/will not give your source.

A 14 year old boy killed his 17 year old passenger.

I hope they try him as an adult and throw the book at the poor little pre-formed thug.

California is over-legislated to the point of comedy. I prefer to look elsewhere for good examples of how to run a good state government.

Doesn't most of the high speed chase footage come from California?

Well - yes - but it is NOT high speed as I recall. Actually confirms high speed pursuit is not routine there.

Thanks.

TLGT - data interesting - what does it represent ? How many deaths per mile driven - data not well defined.

Thanks.

Also has nothing to do with the topic.

You made the statement in regards to Germany "... and the drivers are a bit brighter." You brought that up... so it is part of the topic. According to that page I linked to and MANY other road accident statistic pages you can find if you spend a moment Googling them, German drivers are not any better or worst, brighter or stupider than most other European drivers. Where do you get the "fact" that "... the drivers are a bit brighter"?

Got an answer?
