Last Night's Debate & Newt

It sounds like conservatives don't care about marital infidelity, so we should hear no more about President Clinton's sexual escapades...

I don't... never did. You paint a broad brush which doesn't stand up to fact.

Clinton blah blah blah. Kennedy blah blah blah. Newt gobble gobble gobble...

Well... it's amazing that you can be so stupid. Just like there are Democrats who are not progressives, just like there are socialist (like Bernie Sanders) who are Democrats... guess what baby-face? There can be conservatives who are more concerned with fiscal, defense and state issues then concerned with who is sleeping with who. Must be hard for your little pea-brain to understand that... since your comment above apparently speaks volumes of your lack of understanding. Or were you just being an partisan ass?

Will you never learn the difference between "then" and "than"? You certainly give "published authors" a bad name.

I asked a legit question...what does "conservative" mean anymore. Your response?..nothing but more playground taunts and insults. Of course, nobody respects you as a spokesperson for anything/i], so I do not accept your answer.

Other than the insults, I agree TLGT...there are different degrees of everything. I'm a conservative yet don't care what social issues a candidate wants to push...I just want the country to be prosperous again. The problem with this board is the broad brush generalizations that seem to lead many arguments...and are always wrong. Just remember when you are trying to paint a group a certain way, you are doing the same thing that racists do. My dad is a die hard liberal but thinks abortion is diabolical and disgusting unless it's necessary.

So what is a liberal anymore? I don't think there is an answer there either.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Bill, can you give me an example of liberals doing complete 180's on liberal policies.

I was not painting all Reps with broad brushes...the Republican VP said deficits don't matter - not MY generalization.
.and nobody's really taking a socially conservative stance here and calling out Newt.

Many are insistimg any Republican would be better than Obama, but it WAS Reps who created this mess, so I see no logic in believing Reps would do better.

I'm not trying to impress you with writing skills... and "You certainly give "published authors" a bad name" isn't a taunt? You're like a whiny little child. And I don't care what respect you give me or not. I don't make comments to you to get respect. Anyone who wants to read what I write can decide for themselves if anything I say has any merit. You're not the final f'king arbitrator of what is acceptable or not. And trying to imply I'm not a writer doesn't change anything either. I am... and my royalties checks certainly don't have your name on them... than... then...

At least six anti-abortion rights Democrats are open to supporting the healthcare bill if they can get a guarantee from the Senate that it will move separate legislation containing the House abortion language, one of those Democratic holdouts said Friday.

And as for the bad economy, I think you need to explain what caused it to crash and how that is the Republicans fault...maybe I missed something.

Actually Newt was the Republican speaker of the house when America got closest to a balanced budget, so it looks like some Republicans are willing to take on debt, and this one is currently running for president.
