I guess they are really selling like hotcakes! LOL
Obama's new green economy is booming.
General Motors will temporarily lay off about 1,300 workers at its Detroit Hamtramck plant while it stops making Volts. GM has surplus Volts waiting to be sold, the automaker says.
If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2
Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
Could all the "conservatives" on this thread please help me. In regards to gas, you are looking for some strong govt price influence or control....but for other items you want govt out of the free market. Could make a list for me of the things that when the govt controls the price it is "Conservative" and another list of things that when the govt controls the price it is "liberal".
Seems like this one is calling out all conservatives on this board to act like wining liberals cause this issue will effect them or people they like....they are worried that they will stop getting their govt hand out...
...it is this the same uber liberal stripe that keeps any "conservatives" from even talking about all the $10,000's they take take take for their kids, another thing that turns "conservatives" into uber liberals.
Do you want price controls or not. Geez with the reaction I got because of flag bs, you would think that every conservative - specifically the reagan icon guy and gop twin - around here would be all over themselves for the bs you are spewing. Hey the price of health care is going up, any concerns over that. I don't have a concern, but I am really not a govt spender, unlike you who just want lots of money and control from the govt, just you own brand of govt money and control.
I think one of you even had the balls (??) to say it was leftist to accept the market price???????? What jokes.
Why is such inconsistency acceptable.....
??????????
???????
It's ok, don't address the issues, just figure out how to get yours from everyone else.
I'd like to see coal refineries come up to new codes so we could make synthetic oil. I would like to see coal mining increase without destroying the environment (WV taking out entire mountains and leaving the debris in the watershed).
Why is that partial solution not discussed on these forums?

You sat back and accepted $4-$5 gas in 2008... ("It wasn't Bush's fault...")
<yawn>
Well, you're losing the women's vote, the Hispanic vote, the gay vote, the black vote, and the economy is getting better, private-sector job growth is up, and the market is back to the level it was before Bush's recession started... The rest of America that thinks religious-culture wars are bat-sh*t-crazy, aren't buying it... HEY, I know!--We'll bitch about gas prices...

:Whistle Whistling past the graveyard? We will see in a few months, but I am predicting it won't go your way. And you are so incorrect about the economy coming back, housing prices continue to fall, new construction is still at a standstill, strip malls are half empty. And continued higher gas prices will only keep the economy stagnant.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
The Rasmussen Consumer Index, which measures the economic confidence of consumers on a daily basis, dropped two points on Saturday to 90.7. The Consumer Index is up six points from a week ago, four points from a month ago and is up 18 from three months ago.
And it's only the strip malls in the poor and middle class neighborhoods that are going empty. The 1% are still on a spending binge... (It's supposed to "trickle down", isn't it?)
