Odd, you didn't seem at all concerned when otis brought up John Kerry....

This emoticon reminds me so much of you.....running from thread to thread looking for something, anything, to bash a liberal over. Enjoy, you are very entertaining.

:smurf:

"Odd, you didn't seem at all concerned when otis brought up John Kerry" That was a "you too" remark too. You just can't help yourself. Er maybe it's because Otis didn't say that his comment was not a "you too" comment and then turn around and make a "you too" comment. You're kinda slow on the uptake... huh?

(P.S. - read my nickname real slowly... T h e L i b e r a l 's GOP T w i n... yes... it's my stated mission to imitate liberals and their constant juvenile habits of taking cheap shots, deflecting debate topics, relying on relative morality (because they have a lack of real morals), foul mouthing and trashing-the-other-side-every-chance-they-get. Flip-Flop = Lying when it suits your propose.

Right politicians it could be a mistake, or mis-speak, or a plan.

Left politicans it is a HABIT and always forgivable to the MSM, if the MSM even notice.

Surely you aren't implying that the current administration would press their own Secretary of Energy to make a public statement solely for the sake of getting re-elected. That seems unethical to me... Of course the sheepeople that put Barry in office will buy into this ploy just like they bought all of that "Hope and Change" nonsense back in 2008.

Kinda like so many conservatives are buying into Romney's new conservative credentials. Sheesh...this is what politics is all about during elections
This isn't a you do it too excuse....this is an everyone does it and always will.

I don't know any conservatives who are buying into Romney's "conservative credentials". They are just resigned to the fact that if he is the nominee, they will support him (especially if he brings on board a conservative VP). Obama has been such a horrible leader, we just need someone else, regardless of who it is.

I am not buying into Romney's new conservative credentials either, but I do think he will do a better job getting bipartisan legislation done than Obama has.

Natural Gas prices are hitting record lows, due to all the new supply, and storage is at record highs for this time of year.

Someone needs to do something about these low fossil fuel energy prices. Its an outrage! :)

But not in Colorado. Our natural gas prices haven't gone done since we got natural gas.

Really? My nat gas prices in mid 2008 were .88/therm, and now they are down to .44/therm.

Hey... if you are going to be so kind to re-quote me so everyone can see my brilliant comments twice, at least make sure they are formatted properly. You put a drunken-carriage-return in the middle of the word because. Oh... and you forgot to enter any kind of meaningful response. Don't thank me for pointing that out. My pleasure.

Here's the thing folks. Chu hasn't changed his personal opinion on this matter, he has not flip-flopped, nor come to a broader understanding and consciously altered his opinion. What has happened is that he is now a member of the administration. He is responsible for implementing and following the policy of the executive branch of the government as determined by the president, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be for him, for as long as he remains a member of that administration. Cabinet members do not set policy, they implement it. If he feels unable to carry forward that policy then he has the responsibility to resign, for he serves at the pleasure of the President.

Give the man a break - he personally doesn't support the current policies of the president anymore than the Republicans do. The president is currently tacking back to the center in the hopes that he can fool the electorate into thinking he is a moderate again - that is the policy that he has determined will be followed at least in the short term. He knows that he can't hope to convince the electorate that the president isn't responsible for the cost of gasoline at the pump given the excoriation delivered by himself and his party about how Bush and his cronies in the oil industry were running up the cost of fuel four short years ago. No one who believed them 4 years ago is now going to believe that the president has no control over the cost at the pump. This is simply another instance of the intrigue the left starts for partisan purposes coming back to haunt them.

We have known for some time that there is little direct action that the president can take to lower the cost of gasoline when it gets high. That is precisely what the left was telling everyone wasn't the case 4 years ago that they are now attempting to sell as accurate. We've known it all along and our only purpose now is to remind everyone of the lies they told then. We know that speculators actually help keep the cost of oil lower than it would be if, for instance, Iran does block the Strait of Hormuz because we understand how markets actually work - which sets us apart from the folks in the current administration who have never operated a business and who intuitively view the market as a bad thing. No one will shed a tear if the Strait isn't closed and the speculators lose money instead of make money, but they provide those seeking a scapegoat to shift attention an easy target for those who, like themselves, are unfamiliar with how the speculators actually help stabilize prices and actually keep them lower when situations come to fruition instead of fail to materialize.
