When you hear a prominent Republican deny the existence of global warming or question the theory of evolution, it's hard not to laugh. Sometimes it seems like the right wing is getting less and less reality-based by the minute.

Well, it turns out it's not just your imagination…

You see, when science was being used to build nukes, spaceships and other tools of world domination, conservatives loved science. But now that we're using it for godless stuff like stem cell research and curbing carbon emissions, turns out "science" and "facts" are just a bunch of socialist BS.

Of course, there is one problem with this study. There may be scientific proof that conservatives are getting willfully dumber, but as the study shows, conservatives don't believe in science anymore. It's a total catch-21. (That's the conservative version of a catch-22. They don't believe in math either.)

Yep, they KNOW about those "Catch-21's"... rofllol

Oh LJ- shame on you - AGAIN. First - you attempt to quote a study from Gordon Gauchat, a sociology professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. NPR did the story on this study- NPR. You know - the same NPR funded by government money- and by every known liberal organization known to man.

Second- you title this thread with- and the quote you post is a typical leftist twist of the truth. You take a quote from a blog instead of the real study.

Good job.

The real study never says- and did not say that "conservatives don't believe in Science anymore". It's a twisted lie.

Here's the truth.

While trust in science has remained flat for most Americans, a new study finds that for those who identify as conservatives trust in science has plummeted to its lowest level since 1974.

The study is about "trust" in science.

And who can blame conservatives- we have seen the left take and use science to advance political agenda's.

We have seen the left make careers out of lies by using select "science" to justify their existance without telling both sides of the story. We have seen the left use what facts support their agenda while ignoring the science and facts that dis-prove their agenda.

We have seen scientists- "so called scientists", fudge the numbers on studies- leave out variables, and skew the results to their liking. The fraud that occured in England just a few years ago.....

We have seen Algore- and his circus of antics- trying to make bank on a carbon credit company - using "so called" science to perpatrate a new tax system on carbon that would scam the US consumer out of billions of dollars of hard earned money- and raise the cost of energy for everyone living in America. The company-"Silver Springs" went bankrupt after the 2010 elections when it became clear that the carbon tax was shelved.

If we conservatives were NOT less trusting- we'd be just as stupid as all you Liberal Sheep! Of course we are more apprehensive- only an IDIOT would not be.

So the study is really just an excersize in reality- and just who see it for what it really is- as opposed to those who believe everything they are told.

That's the truth! OH- and for LJ, here's a link to the original story - the one about TRUST!

Don't trust LJ- everything she posts is a lie from some communist blog.

You don't get to tell me what I can or can't post, or where it should come from. I posted the link to the (HUMOROUS) article, and whether you like it or not, I don't give a sh*t.

Deal with it.

The knuckle-draggers on the Right have already proven that the Neanderthals weren't completely eliminated by natural selection. And I realize this may be hard for some of you to accept, but the earth is NOT flat, and the sun does NOT revolve around the earth.

Let me get this straight, the Right doesn't trust science and the Left can't understand economics? Touche?

All I have to do to prove that the Right doesn't understand economics is read the so-called "Ryan Budget"...

Oh, you mean the research that was conducted at East Anglia that was cleared of any wrongdoing by no fewer than 3 separate investigations and is confirmed by 2 other independent sources? That data?

The "left" aren't the ones to ignore the science and conveniently and selectively use the facts to their own purpose. The data is what it is, and even the contrarians accept that global warming is real, why don't you? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that we are unearthing buried carbon by the millions of tonnes each year and adding it to the atmosphere (as you can see by the Keeling Curve), and the experiment that proved that CO2 warms the atmosphere was conducted in the late 1800s and hasn't been disproven yet (as you can see by the increasing temperatures and increasing acidification of the ocean), so what's so hard to understand?

We have a damn good reason not to trust science these days- it's been proven over and over.

The left using science the way it does is not only dishonest- it's fradulent. Every real scientist should be very concerned about this- because every time it happens- it dis-credits the scientific community.

If they really had any integrity- they would be vetting out these crooks- it makes them all look bad. The entire profession has been infiltrated by socialist professors and they have convinced their students that it's OK to dance around the truth.

Real scientists don't have an agenda- they are interested in truth. Time will prove them all out to be the crooks that they are!
