(Remember George W. This is the same thing...
I am impressed. Do you write their talking points or do they write yours?
"The rubber-glue phenomenon
By Steve Benen - Wed Apr 4, 2012 10:55 AM EDT
Just a couple of weeks ago, Rachel explained an annoying habit politicians and campaigns invariably pick up. She called it the "I'm rubber, you're glue; whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you" technique.
It's a basic idea we've all seen many times. A politician and his or her team identify their biggest weaknesses and then start accusing their rival of being guilty of that same thing."
Yep... I watch Rachel all the time. I'm sure her talking points sink in...Just as I see the nightly regurgitations of O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh, and the other right-wingers on threads here daily.

Another question I have is why you think all liberals are athiests? Is it because we have a strong belief that church and state should be seperate? Or is it that you are just jealous that we have it in our brains to accept people as they are?
Dude, I think those are media over-generalizations. I can only speak for myself, but none of my conservative friends are religious at all, and liberal friends and family members are not atheists either.
Personally I care most about Fiscal/ economic issues, not social and religious issues.
And which candidate is for Bacon!
If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2
Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

You watch/listen to O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh? Heck... even I wouldn't waste my time with those fools.
If they are media over generalizations then a whole lot of Righties on this site sure seem to believe the mainstream media... The same mainstrem media that they are so quick to condemn!!
Thank you for the response.. I really do appreciate it. I just see so much concern about whether or not our president is of Christian faith or not and according to a lot of posters if you are not a christian you have no right to be serving as a politician in this country.
For those who celebrate the Easter season... a little wisdom from our White-Black President Obama
Obama says he's among those who sometimes question God's plan for him. But he says that's precisely when he recalls the "triumph" of the Easter story, and Jesus overcoming his doubts and fears before the crucifixion.

False premise Dude. The question was posed to those who are both "progressive" and religiously rant against those who publicly speak of their belief in the Divinity of Jesus Christ. If you are not both of these things, then you are not like **. No one thinks, or even believes, that all liberals are aethists, no one even thinks or believes that all conservatives are Christian, or that they believe that one's religious beliefs are more important than the political ideology of the individual. It is political ideology, not religion, which establishes whether one is a conservative or a liberal.
And, for what it's worth, most conservatives also hold that official state religion is a bad thing for individual liberty and freedom. I happen to be a Catholic and as such would not like being compelled to support the Anglican Church, the Mormon Church, the Baptist Church, the Lutheran Church or any church other than my own. I am no more in favor of an official state religion than any "progressive" is in favor of it. I would vote for an agnostic or an atheist who shared my political views for public office long before I would vote for a "progressive" who shared my faith like Nancy Pelosi or VP Biden. I would vote for a self-proclaimed atheist who espoused the principles of government that Jefferson did without a second thought instead of a "progressive" of any Christian faith who espouses collective salvation via government taxation and appropriation. That, to me, is a real world example of having a defacto state religion despite all protestations to the contrary. Trying to attract the religious vote to ensure that the government provides what religious conscious dictates is a manifestation of having a state religion, is it not?
