A question for people like **

Why would it matter to anyone what the president's religious beliefs are? That is a personal issue. It only becomes a concern if those PERSONAL beliefs dictate how a president governs the nation and sets policy. I have not seen Obama do that...Santorum has indicated that he would use his religious beliefs to set policy. We don't know about Romney, he changes his mind daily.

Why a dumb OP...I haven't seen any leftist say a president shouldn't be a Christian, only that they shouldn't impose their religion on the nation and it's citizens. That goes for ANY religion.

I'm a conservative and I'm an atheist. I'm a conservative and I don't care if the president is a believer or not. I don't believe all liberals are atheist. I've discussed my atheism with many believing liberals and I treat them the same in regards to the subject of belief and non-belief as I do with believing conservatives. Ones religious beliefs are important to me but for a completely different reason than DUDE proposes.

Still looking for an answer that "some" are unable to answer without deflection.

Are these religious quotes from Obama genuine and therefore he is a religious nut (as "some" have labelled conservatives who believe the same)?

Is he just lying to gain votes?

It 's VERY easy and there are only two answers. If you really believe Christians are crazy, does that not also make Obama crazy as well?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

This is a question for religious bigots which I don't think you are. I don't care what religion the president is, but I do get tired of the bigotted hypocrisy spewed on this board by someone who never gets challenged by those on the left. I'd expect you to defend but in this case you just missed the point. (maybe on purpose).

If nobody stands up to a bigot unless it has to do with skin color only, is that really a good thing?

LOL, Bill I doubt you are going to get an answer, no talking points cover this subject on MSNBC, or PuffHost. I'm guessing Obama is mostly playing the politician to gain votes.

Obama is crazy for other reasons though. :)

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

But isn't this precisely what is being done? Isn't it religious call to be your brother's keeper that lies at the root of the government levying taxes and appropriating money to disburse for the purposes of individual welfare? Isn't it the biblical verses that say from those to whom much has been given, much is demanded that form the foundation of the "progressive" tax scheme? Isn't all of this an example of those who have been elected relying on their PERSONAL beliefs to dictate the union's policies and how it will be governed?
