There are no sweeping generalizations here. The article was not an opinion blog, it was about statements from 5 different businesses about their actual hiring experiences for various jobs at various wages. And some posters added their own personal experiences. Then the usual idiots chimed in with the standard talking point insult phrases, probably never bothering to read the OP article.

Easy-peasy - I'll tell you what... you PM me, give me a time and date... at that time/date I'll PM you with a join.me code (it's a simple web based "go to meeting" sort of utility, like WebEx, except simpler)... when you enter Join.me, you'll be able to see my workstation at home... from there I'll have a little tour set up for you... you can see what language platforms I use, I'll tour you through my IDE's, let you see one of the business applications I designed, and we will end up with a look at my 2011 1099... minus name and address... but with my employer and city, state, zip info.

I'm not sure how you are going to find out if I had any payments from the government. Just as an up front... I'm not on any government largess or private payments, nor I'm I living off of retirement money (I'm only 59)...

I will set up the join.me session so you don't have control of my workstation... only I will.

I'm leaving to Europe on Sunday, will be gone 2 weeks so I suspect we could set this up as soon as I get back... so set a time/date after the weekend of April 28th... I won't have time to do this before my trip... I have to be down in the tech center for some meetings before I leave, and I have some deadlines I need to finish from home before I leave... so I really don't have time to set up the scans of the 1099 and I will also need time to set up another user on my computer so you will only be able to see a desktop with what I want you to see... what pertains to this little "bet.

You would be able to navigate on my desktop (desktop - that's the screen idiot), you would be able to examine the work I do since you would have access to my computer. Where in the hell did I mention a "video cam."

Evidently you don't know crap about computers or the concept of sharing desktops (that's using your computer to attach to my computer for the technologically impaired - meaning YOU). You would not be viewing my "office" the physical room I work in. Are you actually that dumb?

You made a bet, I gave you the most open option to prove the point without revealing my actually identity or my physical location. Business people use web based conferencing every day, all around the world, to hold virtual meetings.
