Working Outside can Kill You

Didn't read the OSHA notice or didn't buy this month's high visibility vests. OSHA kills small and medium sized contractor with fines and stop work orders over this kind of stuff.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

To us, OSHA is another gubment POS that really has no idea as to what it takes to make a jobsite.

It's my fault that OSHA is an oppressive Gubment agency that has too much power and no common sense?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

No silly, Otis is trying to blame the existance and function of OSHA on Obama.

Safety vests come in orange and green. May be other colors out there, too.

One of the violations I remember is an incorrect gas container: They were using gallon milk jugs instead of an approved gas container. I have a distilled water container that split and a bunch of water spilled out. Wonder how long it takes for a container to split with gasoline in it.

I use gallon milk jugs for my chain saw gas. They work great. They allow me to see the color of the gas mixed with oil- I can tell just by the color if I have the right mix.

I have been using the jugs for this for about 20 years now- never had a single problem ever. I have had problems with the OSHA approved gas containers- the red ones with the yellow cap and weep hole- if they fall over they will drain out.

OSHA is one government agency that can be completely eliminated without any affect to the economy- return this function to it's proper domain- personal responsibility.

Show me in the constitution where it says the government has the right to tell me which extension cord and gas container to use.

This is a waste of taxpayer money- and a drag on every small business contractor.
