Born in Kenya? Obama bio raises doubts - again!

Well... some one has to jump in this morass, it may as well be me. I going to lay out the story and I'll give you my opinion at the end.

OBAMA’S LIT AGENCY USED 'BORN IN KENYA' BIO UNTIL 2007

According to archive.org, a website that caches websites on a regular basis, the Dystel.com website – the official website for Dystel & Goderich, Obama’s literary agents – was using the Barack Obama “born in Kenya” language until April 2007, just two months after then-Senator Obama declared his campaign for the presidency.

It appears that this bio was revised a number of times over the years, each time carrying over the "born in Kenya" language.

By April 21, 2007, the Obama bio had been changed to state that Obama was born in Hawaii:

Miriam Goderich, who was then his literary agent issues this statement.

"You're undoubtedly aware of the brouhaha stirred up by Breitbart about the erroneous statement in a client list Acton & Dystel published in 1991 (for circulation within the publishing industry only) that Barack Obama was born in Kenya. This was nothing more than a fact checking error by me -- an agency assistant at the time. There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. I hope you can communicate to your readers that this was a simple mistake and nothing more."

There is no way that President Obama did not see, or know about this bio that existed since 1991 and published by his literary agent. Miriam Goderich claims she NEVER received any information by Obama using this sort of language? Then what did she do? Make this up from whole-cloth? Threw a dart at a world globe and it stuck in Kenya? I'm a published author, and I am also a part time professional performer of 40 years. I've written and rewritten dozens of bios that have been placed on my published works or in programs. If an author or performer doesn't have a pre-designed bio, then the agency may write one, but they would never publish it FOR 16 YEARS without having the author (or performer) vet the material. In the real world that doesn't happen... and not for 16 years.

In the least we have another example of pandering to the multi-cultural multi-racial affirmative action mentality of the left (ala Elizabeth Warren "I'm 1/32 Cherokee") where President Obama and/or his literary agent realized that creating an exotic (but untruthful) bio would weave a colorful and interesting backstory for her client... in the most we have a President that has been lying and was actually born in.... ?

lol Obuma oblivious when it suits him. Can't trust anything he writes or says. It is absolutely pathetic that he had to be our first president of color and a pitiful representation.

If you think this was all just a mistake, just look at the timing of removal of the “born in Kenya” text. It only came down when he started his run for President. It appears that it was intentionally left up there until it was no longer politically or financially expedient.

I'm not suggesting that at all. I am suggesting he's our first multi-cultural multi-racial affirmative action president... creating a fictional character that's named Barack Obama and lying his way to the White House. That's even worst than if he was hiding his birthplace. The public figure you see is a chimera of the real person... cobbled together from bit and pieces that were attractive to different people, places and situations as it served it's purpose. No wonder he's an egotist... if you can create a fictitious persona, you can create the ego that goes with it.

I like the woman throwing herself under the bus. Barack must have hinted to her that he was born in Kenya and then not issuing a statement of fact after the bio came out sounds like a man who doesn't care about getting things right.

Fred... I am a published author. You don't "hint" to your publisher or your literary agent and then she/he goes off on their merry way creating a bio. Even if this woman wrote the whole bio herself, the literary agency would have vetted the bio with Obama. And remember, this bio was used in their brochures and then eventually website for 16 YEARS. If Obama is anything he is an extremely smart person. And Obama got married in Oct 1992. Michelle or himself would have to have seen this bio that circulated for 16 years at some point in time. Even Michelle herself "slipped" once and claimed that Obama was born in Kenya. I guess she must have read the bio and believed it too!

BHO is a poor proofreader?

I don't really care where the President was born (yeah - I know - the Constitution cares - but no President before van Buren was actually born a US Citizen)

However, the pattern of deceit makes me think twice.

I suppose that's the point.
