So basically conservatives want Obama to say.....look, we lost a lot of jobs before I took office, the stock market crashed, the housing market tanked, the banks had dug themselves a deep hole some could not climb out of, and the country was in a deep recession, and it's all my fault. I caused this recession while still a senator and ran for president so I could fix it. It is getting better, but there is still a long way to go to fix all the international economic havoc I personally caused during my senate career.

Maybe you missed the "it's not getting better." Try reading the original post of this thread. Good luck.

It isn't getting better. 62% of us had jobs under "W". Obama has let it slide to 58%, what will it be after 4 more years of Obama stimulus? Only 50%? And add massive debt.

I'd just be happy if Obama quit blaming Bush and manned up for once. I was too young to give a crap about the economy in the early Reagan years, but I seriously doubt we were hearing and endless droning from Ronnie about how it was all Carter's fault. Just a guess.
I think Dems would love to ignore Obama's statement in which he told us that he would be responsible if the economy didn't turn around in 4 years.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Sorry...but yes the economy is improving, certainly not as fast as anyone would like, but the precipitous slide towards a deep depression gave way to slow economic growth under Obama, and I believe we would be further along in that growth if the Republicans hadn't taken the house in 2010 and nearly brought the this nation to a halt.
Maybe if the Dems didn't waste their first two years in the majority focused on an unread HC bill instead of the biggest problem we all were experiencing. Oh ya, the HC bill was suppose to "create" jobs.

Are you saying that because the Dems wasted the 1st two years it's quite OK that the Reps obstruct the next two...and somehow that obstruction is Obama's fault? What I am hearing is that Obama is to blame for everything he was unable to do because the Congress was deadlocked.
They didnt do anything to stop the bleeding if anything they stopped the progress...they stopped everything ...rather like a toddler stomping his foot and refusing to participate. Temper tantrums by grownups are never helpful.

What about the 27 jobs bills passed by the House that Reid has tabled?
