Obamacare Stands/Insurance Mandate, er, Tax Upheld

NO... Say it ain't so:

"5. Blue Cross/Blue Shield Tax Hike ($0.4 bil/Jan 2010): The special tax deduction in current law for Blue Cross/Blue Shield companies would only be allowed if 85 percent or more of premium revenues are spent on clinical services. Bill: PPACA; Page: 2,004"

You mean it's a TAX DEDUCTION, but they only get it if they spend at least 85% on their services on their clients--(instead of executive bonuses, advertising and "administrative fees.") Those bastards! How dare they!!

Well, I'm SHOCKED, I tell you, SHOCKED....

---

And it gets WORSE!?!?!

"2. Codification of the “economic substance doctrine” (Tax hike of $4.5 billion). This provision allows the IRS to disallow completely-legal tax deductions and other legal tax-minimizing plans just because the IRS deems that the action lacks “substance” and is merely intended to reduce taxes owed. Bill: Reconciliation Act; Page: 108-113"

So, you're telling me that if some tax-accountant finds a way to take a deduction by some shady means, and the company hasn't actually done anything of substance to earn it, that it could be disallowed?!?!?!

THE HORROR!!! Those bastards!!!

----

Well, dang...It's even WORSE!!!

"10. Surtax on Investment Income ($123 billion/Jan. 2013): Creation of a new, 3.8 percent surtax on investment income earned in households making at least $250,000 ($200,000 single). This would result in the following top tax rates on investment income: Bill: Reconciliation Act; Page: 87-93"

So, you're telling me that the people making OVER $250,000, would actually end up paying the rates on the AMOUNT OVER $250,000 that they PAID UNDER REAGAN AND CLINTON!?!?!

Those bastards!! I'm SHOCKED, I tell you, SHOCKED....

Requiring a 23 year old to pay a single dime more for what his risk group should be paying is immoral. It's flat out Socialism. This is not what insurance is supposed to be- it's what the government has bastardized it into.

Many in this age group will not be able to even pay their part- as we all know, but they will now have the rubber stamp to start using the system for every little headache.

Do all you liberals understand now why some of us have been calling it Socialized health care? The government will have no choice but to start cutting back very quickly- the things that it covers. Quality goes downhill fast. And when they start imposing limits on who can get back sugery and at what age they cut off hip replacements- I'm going to laugh at you.

Fools. Your all arguing the minutia of this health care bill- you better start hoping we repeal it all together.

Inequitable benefits or fees? Sorry, happens all the time. For example, my family is short lived, none of my grandparents lived long enough to collect Social Security, so I should be able to opt out of the plan. Instead I have got to pay for 40+ years when I am likely to get nothing.

Translation:

I can be trusted just fine. I have insurance. Too bad there's such outrage from those who seem to think it's okay to have everyone else pick up their tab for their irresponsibility at the emergency rooms...
