Despite claims of the most ethnically diverse convention in years, the GOP convention can not be considered demographically representative of America. The GOP refuses to release the demographics of their delegates, attendees have estimated that there are about 28 African Americans (out of 2286 total), and about 50 attendees (out of 50,000). this is even worse than in 2008 when there were 2% African American and 5% Hispanic. There is one report of 149 African Americans in the convention center, but it turns many of those are law enforcement (who complained that many of the attendees asked them to carry their bags), and workers employed there. Then there was the extremely ugly incident of the two bigoted attendees throwing peanuts at a black CNN camerawoman and saying "that's how we feed the animals".
This has to be of concern to the GOP, where even angry white guy Lindsay Graham was quoted:
"The demographics race we're losing badly," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told the Washington Post. "We're not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term."
(although there seems to be plenty in this forum)
Perhaps it is there attitude of condescension toward minorities. A Washington Post survey found that:
These attitudes seem reflective of the current campaign.
"Remember to always be yourself. Unless you can be batman. Then always be batman." Unknown

:rofl Unfortunately, not well enough! There are still way too many that are sad and hopeless (and it's the easiest way to get a girl to take you home; if you can move on the dance floor, you can move well...elsewhere!).
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
