Opine that he wasn't "conservative enough," and try to go even further to the right. In 4 years, most of the teabagger influence is going to have exhausted itself out. All the constituencies that the GOTP ticked-off this time, (Hispanics, Women, Blacks, LGBT, Seniors, and the rest of the 47% that are NOT victims or freeloading off of Society), will realize that voting for someone even more extreme will result in even more extreme outcomes. More of the angry, old, white-guys will have disappeared from the voter rolls, more seniors who have paid into SS and Medicare will be even less amenable to having their benefits, that they've PAID FOR, cut...so the Righties can make the same lame argument that using those cuts to give more tax-cuts to millionaires and billionaires that will some how "trickle-down"...
I PRAY that's what they do... I hope they concentrate on a Santorum or Lyin-Ryan... (And I predict they will...) In 4 years after this debacle, the GOTP should be nearing extinction as a relevant force in American politics. The party of angry, old, white guys, with a religious agenda, is disappearing. And thank god for it.

So what are the plans by Romney for the economy? Obama has pushed 3 different jobs bills for improving the economy, yet the Republicans have obstructed every one. One would have provided tax credits for small businesses for new hires, another would have eliminated tax breaks for companies shipping jobs overseas while rewarding companies that insource jobs, and just today, they obstructed another jobs bill that would have provided jobs for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.RenegadeCJ wrote:

I don't think we will see what America wants till Nov 7. If Obama is able to completely avoid any talk of his competance for leadership, and lack of any plan for the ecomony, and keep demonizing Romney, he will likely win. If anyone in the press puts the same eye on Obama as they do Romney, it will be close. People here, and in the mainstream media keep asking Romney for specifics, but they don't even make a sound towards Obama for the same thing. What is he going to do to revive the economy? Who knows.

So let's put those dollars in the infrastructure. Oh yeah, the GOP would call it "stimulus" and block it, would they not?RenegadeCJ wrote:

So do we need this work to be done?? Are we lacking firefighters and police?? I don't know. I would rather put this $$ into infrastructure and have the returning soldiers work there. Just creating jobs for the purpose of paying someone doesn't help our economy, and ultimately doesn't help our soldiers.

That's a fair question...which I think leads us back to the original comment Mr. Romney made. Your comment implies that Mr. Obama IS "running away" with the election.
