Yeah... So watch this, and tell me about Gov NumbNuts and his elitist PoS attitude toward the 47% of the population:

Facts are a stubborn thing... You can call them "slanted hit pieces", but the numbers from the Department of Labor don't lie... And Gov. NumbNuts has been shown to be the elitist PoS that he is.

And your counterpoint of it is all Bush's fault doesn't fly. "W" isn't running. Didn't even attend the convention. Wheras Obama had to divert his record by bringing out Clinton as cover.

Yeah, and since we are having fun teaching LJ and Dog federal taxes 101, I forgot to correct him about his claim that self employed pay over 15% in SS/Medicare taxes. Yes they do, which sucks, but only after they get to subtract something like 1/2 of their SS off their AGI/Taxable Income. So they don't pay that full 15%. But they still get hit harder than the rest although they can also subtact other stuff the employed can't.

I think LOL is more up on self employed taxes than me at this point, though.

And I hope LJ sends me flowers after falsely calling me stupid and ignorant. My feelings are hurt! Sorry I responded in kind after you were wrong by calling you an idiot. lol

I learned a lot by doing my own taxes for 30 years. Just sent in my 3Q SE tax payment too, everyone should be self employed and pay quarterly IMO. And fill out your own forms! It's a blast! :)

Sorry hard to laugh with puke in my mouth. Isn't that like a beaten child learning how to sit just right at the kitchen table.

As you know, federal payroll taxes will be over 15% for self employed, so already they have paid a higher rate than RMoney did. And federal gas taxes will have a greater impact on the rates of those making middle or lower income wages, than on the $20 million or so that RMoney claims on his taxes.

Yes, I know about the SS cap, Medicare is not capped.

I quoted actual CBO data. You are dead wrong about the 47% paying a higher rate of total federal taxes than Romney (as I said, a small number might). You are ignoring credits like the Earned Income Credit. Plus retired seniors don't pay into SS unless they are still working.

And of course we only know what RMoney paid in taxes based on a single partial tax return. It is quite possible that he has paid no federal income taxes in many years. I do acknowledge that many do not pay at the rate that Mitt did in the one year that he partially disclosed. The other years, well, Mitt is hiding something. Point being, just because you do not pay federal income taxes does not make you a moocher, nor does it mean that you are not paying federal taxes.

Also, you failed to address that there are many, many self employed individuals who pay a higher rate of federal taxes through payroll/self employed taxes than Mitt's rate of federal income tax.

Also, since the topic is that Mitt feels that it is not his job to worry about the elderly, the poor, the disabled, military veterans, families with children, those who are able to work the tax codes, because they are all on entitlements, do you think that is an appropriate attitude for someone seeking to be President of all Americans?
