Boy you guys sure buy into the rich, disconnected, I don't care about anyone but guns and religion, Chicago style politics. I gotta give it to him it works. Worked the first campaign as well. Just because you know how to campaign and win an election does not mean you know how to run a country or protect your country, ambassadors or have good policies, keep your promises etc. Bush did a magic act as well first term.

I really think EVERYONE is waiting for the debates. First one is at DU remember!

One interesting point about "moochers". Most of them don't consider themselves moochers. They think other people are doing the mooching not them so they will still continue to vote for the guy who wants to restrict their "entitlements".

So I think most people don't consider themselves the 47% whether it is Medicare, mortgage interest rate kickbacks, crop supports, or even people paying 15% capital gains.

I don't know what you'd call the fact that you fit the demographic but think it applies to "the other guy" if not a "disconnect". OK, maybe "hypocritical" or "self-destructive" would fit too...

BearMtnHIB may be willing to eat shit & die if his luck runs out and have his loved ones do the same if their luck runs out and he can't take care of them but most people - even conservatives! - believe in the social contract, at least as it pertains to them & theirs and that's what the chart indicates.

[sarcasm]Yeah I hate those stinkin' veterans that think they're entitled to go to the V.A. And all those stinkin' retirees who've paid into Social Security & Medicare all their lives, thinking they're entitled to the benefits they paid for. And all of those poor and elderly folks in retirement centers, hospices, and using walkers, canes, crutches & wheelchairs to get around getting assistance from MediCaid... Parasites!! How dare they think they're entitled to that! And all those students who go to college on student loans that think they're entitled to low-cost loans to get an education--that they pay back.[/sarcasm]

And of course, those people who suddenly find themselves facing an unexpected illness, accident, cancer, who find themselves facing bankruptcy and overwhelmed because of "bad luck"... Screw 'em...

I was right... Pond scum and anthrax ARE higher life forms than sociopathic conservatives...

What a spin. Obama already put out a a half of americans ad. Spin, spin, spin.

That is not what was said. I took offense to O's comment that rep. are "clinging to guns or religion" statement. It is the same damn thing. Be a tiny bit objective and see what it really is instead of pouncing. You are as bad as what you proclaim to hate. You know you guys have to live with yourselves after the election too.

Yes... We do! And most likely with a second-term Democratic president! Because Gov NumbNuts is going down...

I just hope he resists the temptation to apologize further... I'd MUCH rather see him double-down. It's better that way...
