You MUST have Otis on ignore then, because you missed at least 90% of the bullshit threads he has started in the past 3 months. rofllol rofllol rofllol

Sorry to see you needed to go there Becky.

CinnamonGirl wrote: Becky I would not take too seriously that people are like this in the Courthouse. This is what people do on a political forum during an election. That is why I am here. I find it sort of fun. The Park County Sheriffs election was WAY worse. That is what the forum is made for, discussion.

And I would not call Obama desperate, I do find him dirty. I watched a video, I could not find it on youtube, of wolf Blitzer saying that he thought that Obama did the right thing by going on Letterman rather than meeting with the Israeli PM because the PM is not going to get him votes. He is going to do WHATEVER it take including ignore the country to win. And that is how they think. Personally, I would be way more likely to vote for him if I was an independent seeing him do the right thing and not just go for votes. He is a very good politician. I don't think he is as good a president however.

CG....I really care about the 3 neighbors I have lost in the last 3 years to foreclosure of their homes. My heart breaks for them.
I don't find anything funny about this at all.
If this is how "internet" forums work.....then I will pass because i don't need people like this in my life.
Life is hard enough these days without looking for @ssholes to complicate it.

I have been gone for a bit...in part by choice and in part by location.
I was shocked to come back and read what was here almost specifically by one poster.
I suspect I understand Otis and others frustration. At least Otis has tried to stay and contribute.....so many others have just simply closed their laptop and walked away.
What happened to this forum and our community?
I talk to a ton of people face to face about politics....and it never gets this rabid or stupid. (even I turn ugly here)
I think I prefer the sitting down over a nice glass of wine or cold beer and looking at you to have these kinds of discussions.
People who hide and don't have to take responsibility for what they say scare me.
People who try to harm your livelihood simply because you disagree with them scare me.
Isn't that the very thing folks on the right are afraid of with this President. (notice....I do not call him names or degrade his position in office)
People here are seriously discussing spray tans and whether fox news gets a pirate story right while your neighbors are losing their home or can't find a job?
People have the audacity to complain about a 47% comment by a candidate while they ignore a huge segment of our country that are truly in trouble at the hands of Obama's policies. (and there is no "hope" that it will get better)
Talk about hypocrites.
I try to remind myself that mostly 5 people here are speaking for the entire community and that face to face encounters with other community members from the left, (there are a few here) are much more dignified and logical.
You know what really scares me about our current President?
I suspect he is just as far left as the 5 individuals that post here....only he is smart.

Just so we are clear, I agree with about 99% of what you just said and I believe I understand where you are coming from. But you also have to admit it comes from both sides.

For the record, the spray tan discussion was all in fun on my part -- a diversion from the daily assault of right-wing nutcase posts by Otis and Twin. And yes, Otis and Twin scare me too.

Hey, once the Toad started his serial posting of drivel with no complaints from the cons, then all is fair game.

Sure that is why he is the king of empty threads. Anytime someone responds to one of his posts with anything other than an echo, he demands they leave the thread. Great poster, yeah.

My posting count has tapered off over the last two months. I'm currently putting together a new act (yes... I'm an entertainer... really) and I have been spending a lot of time online (and off line) researching props, costumes and story material, and I have not had as much time to troll here. Yes... the truth is always scarier than fantasy.

But thanks for the shout out.
