She is, by far, one of the most disrespectful posters here. (IMO)
Perhaps you missed the reason that i remarked at all. I've got no problem with name-calling, if that's really what you feel you've gotta do but to sanctimoniously talk about the lessons our kids learn from the way that politicians act while ignoring the rudeness we show ourselves (as akalina did) shows a certain disconnect. The issue was not LJ because she wasn't bitching about setting examples.
Hey appleannie, maybe you been drinking too much apple juice or your bath water. I haven't been sanctimoniously talking about the lessons our kids learn. So if you don't have any problem with name calling, then call out the right party or STFU.
Oh, I called out exactly who I intended to call out, sweetie. You know, they have classes these days to learn how to manage your rage... :Whistle

Of course it does. If our kids are watching politicians acting like imature children, that sends a clear message that being disrespectful at the highest office is perfectly acceptable. So if it's ok to smile and laugh when discussing serious issues like Libya and Iran, what does that say to our kids? These are suppose to be the most respected people in the country, yet Biden was the most disrespectful blowhard I've ever seen.LOL wrote: It is a good point on respect. Where does/should it start though? If the politicians don't show respect for each other in speeches or campaign mud slinging, doesn't this lead the voters to act the same?

You agreed with Heisenberg that Biden set a bad example for our kids by being disrespectful yourself. I can explain it to you but can't understand it for you, obviously.
