I would tend to disagree with that TM. Ryan came off as refusing to back down to a bully who was attempting to intimidate him by continually interrupting him, displaying anger and raising his voice. Ryan came off as a statesman who is calm, cool and collected under fire - exactly the kind of mind that you want managing any crisis. Biden portrayed himself as someone easily excited and prone to emotional outbursts. That split screen did as much or more damage to Obama/Biden than everything that Ryan said last night. Couple that with Biden's misrepresentation of his voting record, something he ought to have known was going to be fact checked, and the overall appearance is exactly what Ryan portrayed. When your record doesn't endear people to vote for you your best option is to attempt to get them to run away from the other guy. That's the whole 2012 Democratic strategy boiled down to its bare essence.

Biden's appeal was an emotional one, Ryan's was reasoned. Biden did have some very good moments over the course of the debate, but they were overshadowed by the manner in which he conducted himself. Ryan remained reasoned and respectful, always referring to Biden as Mr. Vice President (as opposed to the "my friend" references used by Biden) even when standing his ground to point out the continuous interruptions of Biden while he was speaking.

I noted that Biden spent a lot of time referring to his many years of service. Being one of the eight in the room with Tip O'Neil and President Reagan was one of them. A very sublime way of saying that he had a lot of experience on the kid sitting next to him who was still, compared to himself, wet behind the ears. Best line of the night was Ryan's remarks after Biden brought up the 47% remark for the first time. Ask anyone who watched or listened to the debate what the most memorable moment was and I am all but certain that would be the choice of a majority of those who tuned into the debate.

Agree with the most memorable line. I disagree with the fact that Biden's misrepresentations will be a point against him as 95% of the people who might be swayed by this debate will never fact check. They are already tools - just think, those are the idiots who will decide on the next POTUS. Did you catch the Saturday Night Live skit on undecided voters?

The SNL skit was truly hilarious and not far off. I just read about a new youth movement to remain blissfully unaware, ignore the news etc. (Doesn't sound any different than right now.)

But women don't agree with Netdude, Romney is closing the women gap, even with single females. Guess women prefer jobs and higher household incomes to unemployment, a stagnant economy, & falling household wealth.

You've been reading too many Rightie-blogs and talking-points again...

Something about all those "legitimate rapes", and "abortions on women who weren't pregnant", and "forced ultra-sound invasions", and cutting off health services at Planned Parenthood, and trying to eliminate coverage of contraception...while still requiring coverage for Viagra...

Try again...

Maybe Biden won the "angry white men" vote?

Perhaps Biden's dentist will get some business after he kept blinding us with those bright white chicklet teeth?

With all the water Ryan was drinking, too bad he didn't spit some out in Biden's face when Biden tried to say he was comparing himself to Jack Kennedy.

Yeah, I worried about Ryan... I thought maybe he needed to drink lots of liquids with those anti-flatulence pills he must have taken.

Besides, I don't think that Biden could win the "angry white guy" vote...The GOTP has got that wrapped up... In fact, that seems to be the ONLY demographic they have locked up.
