The poll showed the race for Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes locked up at 47 percent in its final week. Romney was scheduled to campaign in the Philadelphia area on Sunday, and former President Bill Clinton planned to stump for Obama on Monday. The campaigns have begun to saturate the airwaves with millions of dollars in presidential advertising.
Morton Kondrake predicted Romney would get 315 electoral votes. I hope he is right. If Mitt does get Pennsylvania, election night will be over quite soon. Firewall state right there.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Eastern PA is pretty solidly blue. Western PA is more conservative (although the area around Pittsburgh is mostly blue) but "more" is the operative word there. I live in a more conservative area but even here, you can't help but notice that most of the signs are for local candidates. Very few R/R signs and not much enthusiasm for them. Looks like most people who do not intend to vote for Obama are breaking for Stein or writing in Paul. Works for me, since I've never forgiven the people who voted for Nader in 2000... lol
