Looks like he did exactly that, according to sources. Al Gore the $100Million dollar man. LOL Rich SOB! :)

You might do well to actually find out if your facts are correct...Just once...

They, of course, tried to close by December 31st to take advantage of the lower tax-rates, but the deal wasn't closed until Wed., Jan 2nd...

Nice try, though...

guessing none of you ever saw Riz Khan (no longer with AJ) ---- an incredible reporter - who easily gets beyond the rhetoric on either side.

I've lived in Al Jazeera territory - it's just an Arab BBC.

I've got no problem with their being in the USA.

Yeah - I seem to recall Golden's mayor was strongly criticized for planning a reception with them.

Kind of silly ---- there's not really much, if any anti-American sentiment in Qatar --- just count the McDonalds!

I was suprised to see a Popyes in Doha..I think they only have one in Colorado, and its in Montbello. A big Wig at Popyes owed me money so he gave me this special card - I carry it in my wallet. I get free chicken at all Popyes..Its worked everywhere, except there..

Popeye's are all over Colorado. Even in Arvada. But even with a free food card, I would still go someplace else. Wasn't impressed.

LOL who on this thread said anything about being afraid of Terrorist TV or that Jazzera couldn't or shouldn't broadcast? It could be entertaining, I can watch MSNBC for 5 min. for a few laughs.

I said I wonder if I could watch it on my Dish Family package. It was an interesting news story, and an opportunity to take a cheap pot shot at Al Gore. If he sold on Dec 31 he is a hypocrite, on Jan. 2 he is a dupe. Its a win-win Zinger, LOL

The word on the street is Jazeera way over-paid for this thing at $500M, I guess Al Gore is a shrewd capitalist after all, turning a $70M investment into $500M that some analysts think isn't worth much. Go AL!

Does Al feel dirty taking that money from a huge oil exporter?
