Holder would like his whole term in office to be off-the-record. Pesky press wanting answers about Fast & Furious, a culture of IRS intimidation, hacking into reporters phones and e-mails. "Did I do that?"

Loved this headline.....

Barack Obama: even the mainstream media has given up on the hopey-changey stuff

There was a time when Obama couldn’t get a bad headline in this town. Now he’s the new Nixon. I dropped out of writing about US politics three weeks ago to finish a book and, on my return, I discover that everything’s changed. The President has been hit not by one Watergate but by three – Benghazi, the IRS, the DOJ phone records scandal – and even the mainstream media has stopped treating him like the bringer of hope and change predicted in the Bible. He's not a Messiah, he's a very naughty boy.

Holder is starting to look like a clown... not an AG.

This must be serious, I have not run across any "Yes, buts" yet. I have mostly seen a bunch of shiny objects and the usual vitriol. Ed Schultz is suddenly outraged that after 8 years in congress Bachmann is entitled to a pension.

On the vitriol side this seems pretty typical from the well educated lefty.

"Conservatives tiny brains seem to have ossified in the period of the '50's- which was an anomalous time in so many ways# I mean firstly, all the great countries of Europe, and Japan, had been devastated by war# China and the USSR were undergoing backwardization from communism #as well as having some significant trauma from the recent world war#, and we were number one because there was no one else in the race# Helllloooo

It's not hard to be exceptional when you're out standing in the field, by yourself#"

"Brad Woodhouse @woodhouseb

POTUS asked AG to review how leak investigations are done but some in the media refuse to meet with him. Kind of forfeits your right gripe."

So is this a special secret club since they can't report what they heard?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

It was a give and take discussion that was off the record so that the participants could speak freely. You know, the type that occur all the time.

"As editor in chief, I routinely have off-the-record conversations with people who have questions or grievances about our coverage or our newsgathering practices,” Harris, who was invited to represent POLITICO at the meeting, said in an email. “I feel anyone—whether an official or ordinary reader—should be able to have an unguarded conversation with someone in a position of accountability for a news organization when there is good reason.”

So whatever information is learned, nothing can be repeated to the public. Maybe this friendly meeting is just to get the next talking points straight and get the press on the same page as the DOJ. Makes me trust the DOJ soooooo much more.

"How the Latest Obama Scandals Robbed Liberal Media of Their Favorite Defense
by Brian Cates 28 May 2013

The biggest problem for Liberals in these current growing Obama scandals is they have been robbed of their usual favorite defense/justification of Obama: "Bush did it too!"
