Hey Rick, just an aside here. Not too single you out but I think you might be more receptive than some.

There is a lot of gloating going on. I understand it and certainly have been guilty of it. Still the reaction to what the current administration is doing could determine what kind of country our g.kid and their kids grow up in.

I know some will never deviate from the Georgetown path but I try and give others food for thought. Not everyone who reads these threads posts or are even registered.

Sorry, I think this post will come across as sanctimonious. I will probably regret it in the AM. I plead the beer amendment.

Unless, of course, one of the attendees plans on going and then tossing the "off the record" rule in the garbage, which in my estimation would be an okay thing to do. This isn't gloating Bob, this is PISSED OFF! I have liberal friends and a liberal parent who I will NOT talk politics with... there is no upside. So, in order to keep my head from exploding, I vent here and look for justification for what's happening with our government. When I first decided to post on this board, I had this fantasy of a civil back and forth discussion... that devolved into a mental punching bag which now gives an alternative to pissing off my friends and family.

I appreciate the concern, but I don't care who I piss off anymore. I've tried over and over and over to bring civility here and it's just not possible... I go to another board to debate like an adult. That board is self moderated and assholes are called out by their own side... we speak as if we are face to face which allows for respect, even if we disagree about most topics.

If I'm ever given respect from the left on this board, I will reciprocate....but my attempts to do just that failed and I'm all done trying. This place has it's purpose for me and I won't appoligize for using it as I wish. Until this administration comes clean with the people, I will continue to post what I see as ineptness, corruption, and straight up lying to the people.

Seriously, if it is not private I would appreciate it if you would PM me a link. I do not recall seeing a self moderating board where the left and right could have a civil discussion. Maybe I hang out at the wrong URLs

Here we go again... If it weren't for the Liberals this would be a lovely message board. I'm sure the dissension here is all the liberals fault. And all you conservatives just want is for us all to get along and sing happy songs... And all it would take for that to happen is for all the liberals to agree that the conservatives are always right. I think you all need a reality check..... or your own board.
