Hold on for a Manhattan microsecond! Didn't Barry say this about 4-ish years ago?

I guess "...being respectful even when we disagree..." means something along the lines of "...I told you not to do that and now I'm gonna accomplish regime change by bombing you back into the stone age and putting Muslim extremists in charge of your country."

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I listened to a few minutes of the Ed Shultz radio show this morning and by gosh...every.single.caller (who were all self-described liberal democrats) said bHo made a huge mistake by drawing the red line. All of them. And they are scared sh*tless that if bHo decides to go forward with "teaching them a lesson" without getting a vote from Congress, then the Republicans will have even MORE fodder for impeachment. For once, I can agree with his callers.

Strange world when the Borowitz Report can't top reality.

http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/b ... /?mobify=0

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—Attempting to quell criticism of his proposal for a limited military mission in Syria, President Obama floated a more modest strategy today, saying that any U.S. action in Syria would have “no objective whatsoever.”

“Let me be clear,” he said in an interview on CNN. “Our goal will not be to effect régime change, or alter the balance of power in Syria, or bring the civil war there to an end. We will simply do something random there for one or two days and then leave.”...CONTINUE READING >>

TRUTH is a b*tch, ain't it?... Somehow I don't think the "American men, women and children" who died in auto accidents volunteered for the job, or were ordered to go do it.

But thanks for playing.. Another irrelevant comment from someone who just realized they set themselves up for the truth to be crammed down their throat.

So you're promoting a conflict with Syria as a good thing? I thought you were all about joining hands and singing kumbaya because war is bad. It's a MF when YOUR CINC paints himself in to a corner isn't it?! Make up your mind, is war good or is war bad? You can't have it both ways and I'm here to tell you war is never pretty; been there, done that, got three tee-shirts (and went back twice for additional tours voluntarily). I went back to make sure the kids I brought into the fight had a fair chance to survive and to make sure that they followed the training that they received, not just what I taught them but the collective training they got in theater from those that knew the here and now.

I guess we could just sit back and watch the situation in Syria implode (like we have for the last 24 months) but when a dictatorship finds it acceptable to poison their own people then something has to be done. Otherwise we degrade our own morality and accept the idea that dictatorships can slaughter their own citizens with impunity.

The refreshing thing about LJ is that she stands by her man even if she doesn't agree with the policy.
A Hilary Clinton for the 285 corridor. Personally I feel for the CINC. He was writing checks he can't cash. Now he appears even more weak, backpedaling. "Our attack, if it happens, will only be punitive."

President Obama, listen to Ed Schultz's mouthbreathers and step back. And remember this the next time you want to draw red lines.

America doesn't want to go to war no more.

THANK YOU for this (bolded).....coming from someone who has ACTUALLY seen war, blood, guts,
blown up bodies,it means ALOT.....because from where I sit, having NEVER been in the military,
nor witnessed the horror of a mutilated body my feelings are IDENTICAL....we (collectively)
can NOT "stand down" and do little/nothing.

I have lost MUCH respect for our "brother in Arms" Great Britain, since THEY were initially
involved (along with France) in breaking up and dividing greater Syria...(this was after WW1)

Their "part" in that country is now coming back to haunt them.....(Thank you to France for
stepping up to the plate NOW).

This is my understanding of the "past", if it is NOT correct...PLEASE do correct me.

THIS atrocity has been going on FAR too long and it is NOW time to do the RIGHT thing, what
that "right" thing is....THAT is really the debate.....HOW to be effective in that endeavor...JMO
