Regime change? It does make sense to hit the leaders implementing the gas attacks. But like you said, is Assad really worse than another fundamentalist state?
Imagine this scenario, the Muslim Brotherhood win again Egypt's next elections. Syria falls to Al Qaida. Think they would love to both attack Israel? Luckily the Economist thinks the Egyptian Army is a real paper tiger, but I could see both of them stepping on terrorist attacks.

It's a real life Chinese finger trap, pull harder only to discover you're even more trapped than before. So I have to wonder what Hilliary knew and when she knew it, unless Pvt. Manning or that sh*t bag Snowden have some valid info to add to the current situation, I guess the public is supposed to believe that two years after the beginning of the Syrian civil war the USA knew/knows nothing about what is happening in Syria. I'm calling BS on that here and now!
For all of you Obamabots that think I'm just posting more anti-Obama stuff I'll admit you're half right; forget that for now and take a look at the larger picture - this could be the beginning of the next global war. Glad you voted for a second term of Obama and his incompetence now?
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Enjoy what you voted for - you'll rue the day and it will be too late to correct your mistakes. Democrats own the disaster that is the current day United States of America, what's worse is they are proud of it.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

The same way you own the worst recession since the Great Depression, TWO unnecessary, unpaid-for wars, and the worst 8-year jobs-record of the last 80 years.... And ALL of your dog-whistle racism, to boot...
You OWN IT... It's YOURS.... You wear it proudly.
...And what's more, you AREN'T going to get the presidency back in 2016 either... lol
Let's let the sheep decide in 2016, assuming that the Republic of the United States still exists, they'll probably make the wrong choice AGAIN because it's too easy to suck off the Gubment teat than actually get an education and a real job or work hard at the jobs they can get and do better for themselves.
Too hard, besides it shouldn't it be the Gubment's responsibility to make sure everyone gets an even cut of the national gross domestic product? As citizens (and even illegal aliens) employment, education, and housing should just fall out of the sky on all of us. Every US citizen should be making (not earning) $250K a year. Great idea until you try to figure out how it would actually work.
Bush did it first? FU!!! Your guy has had the helm for 5+ years, claimed he could fix every problem, and it's time to call him on all of the campaign promises he made the first and second time around, especially ending wars.
I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Cakes has done precisely what a kid would do......tossed the problem to Mommy Congress. Mommy may well approve some action after the pols get their time in front of the cameras. Then Cakes can avoid responsibility and get back to gutting the Sheep to support Social realignment.
Starting to wonder if this whole Syrian red-line issue is another wag-the-dog to take attention off IRS Bias, NSA overreach, and the other issues like the continuing high unemployment and and reduction of employment from full time to part-time.
