You'll never find conservative professors because college professors are usually intelligent people who are aware of American and world history..Its like saying we need more religious scientists..Its ridiculous..

Its just like saying, we need stupid and ignorant scientists who believe in fairy tales

PS- And didn't CU just Tar n Feather and run a professor out of town for saying that 911 was the result of our barbaric foreign policies when clearly 911 occured because of our barbaric foreign policies?

Where was his freedom of speech?

Something the Dog Said wrote: Rather than create special rights for conservatives, would it not better to simply make it a policy that politics will not be considered in hiring of employees at government institutions?

Ah...I don't think it is. I seriously doubt if any political questions are asked on applications or during interviews...So- considering that, my arguments look even stronger

One thing they all have in common is a belief in science and science is a collection of facts and religion requires a ridiculously giant leap of faith- So I seriously doubt than many scientist take the bible literally. Noahs Arc din't happen, nobody lived in a whale and the earth is clearly more than 4000 years old.

Hmmmm... "Special Rights for Conservatives"...Has a ring to it.

I guess if they can't sell their anti-science, Randroid ideas in the open-market of ideas, maybe they DO need "special protections."

But it is kinda fun to have conservatives supporting affirmative action for their own, while having argued against it for anyone else in the past.

Actually there are a fair number of famous scientists that VL would even recognize who do believe in a creator. IIRC, even the guy who dreamed up the Big Bang Theory.

Sorry, I couldn't resist that huge opening you left VL! tongue: KissyFace:

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
