Chad Henderson told multiple media outlets that he successfully enrolled in Obamacare. But the poster boy for the new health care law is actually a former Obama campaign staffer, and he’s not enrolled in the system. (PHOTO: Facebook.com/wchadhenderson)

On his Facebook page, Henderson bragged about being interviewed by “The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Chattanooga Times Free Press, The Huffington Post, Enroll America, and Politico,” along with several local TV affiliates.

Peter Suderman, writing at Reason, claims to have uncovered the truth.

“But in an exclusive phone interview this morning with Reason, Chad father’s Bill contradicted virtually every major detail of the story the media can’t get enough of,” Suderman writes. “What’s more, some of the details that Chad has released are also at odds with published rate schedules and how Obamacare officials say the enrollment system works.”

The administration explained that there were million and millions of people hitting the site in the first few days and that slow the system down.

Well... I'm not going to go into all the technical reasons why 3 1/2 years for this project was never enough time. As a ex-federal contractor working on software projects for the D.O.E. for 15 years I can simply tell you... well... it wasn't enough time.

As far as too many users trying to access the site... hell... a YouTube cat video gets as many hits.

Most times commercial business is better and faster than government. Plus You-Tube doesn't have bureaucrats constantly updating the rules.

The firms that worked on the sites front end, database back end and data interfaces between various federal and insurance company data set WAS a private firm.

But you're correct in your second observation. Software and IT design within the federal system is unfortunately developed by committee, not by engineers.

Bad way to build a database/software/interface enterprise.
