Watch it sometimes Archer, its halarious..It's like "after the break were gonna push this button, then that one, then were going play on your insecurities and fears for about 10 minutes, and we'll wind up the show by getting you furious with a twisted and ridiculous story we made up....Its obvious minipulation

AND IT WORKS! The gullibility of the Fox News viewer is unreal..Watch it, then watch the regurgitated FOX NEWS threads pop up..

That logic is right up there with seniors don't need social security, disability and unemployment are a waste of money, Medicare should just go away. I know you all believe in the Rand view of the world, but most Americans do not and you will be buried at the ballot box. Fortunately this is a much better country than you would try to create.

Maybe the good federal workers tiring of government shutdowns will get real jobs in the private sector. :memorial:

Logic and reason would tell you to move forward on what you agree on and keep working on what you don't. "I won't negotiate" is therefore an unreasonable and illogical means by which to reach an agreement. Thus far the Republicans have taken the reasoned and reasonable approach to the problem at hand, not the petulant "If I don't get my way I'm taking my ball and going home" one.

Again, both sides seem willing to partially shutter the government over the ACA, and so it is that the government is shuttered. The majority of the populace has never suported the law, those who strongly oppose it outnumber those who strongly support it 2 to 1. The Republicans control the House as a direct consequence of how the Democrats passed the ACA. In Colorado alone it cost them 2 House seats from a 5-2 majority to a 4-3 minority. Reason, then, tells us that the populace has told the Democrats that they must negotiate on the ACA and it is their refusal to do so which is responsible for the partial shut-down. The ACA iappears to be all that is standing in the way of having those federal workers on the job instead of dipping into their 401Ks, so let's get them back on the job instead of sitting at home waiting to collect monies that they are currently not earining while the ACA continues to be contested in accordance with the desires of the populace. That is the reasonable, and reasoned, thing to do, given the circumstances, isn't it?

Their viewers are actually more misinformed than people who don't watch any news at all....

Average Fox News Viewer Over 65
Posted: 23 Jul 2013 05:31 AM PDT

Fox News continues to be near the top in cable in terms of the number of viewers it attracts, but the median age of its audience is among the oldest in television. For the last two years, it has had a median viewer age of 65-plus. In the second quarter of this year, the network scored its lowest ratings since 2001 in the 25-54 category. Cable financial analyst Craig Moffett compared the network's challenge to that of Cadillac, which had to reinvent itself after its average customer age got older and older. "It didn't take a lot of math skills to realize if nothing changed, one day the last Cadillac buyer was going to walk into the showroom and then drop dead on the way out," he said.

They also have the market cornered on old-angry-white-guys ....

Twenty four funding bills are now in the Senate (as typical BTW) but the Radical Socalists (Reid ans Cakes) are refusing to fund the feds......

FYI....the debt ceiling is a clerical exercise designed for political theater......the solution is to defund entitlements (DOD is 10 % of the budget) and NEVER raise the debt ceiling ever.....as in NEVER.....EVER. CUT taxes, terminate 3-4 million clerks at ALL levels and live within our means as a nation.....do not do DETROIT aagain, and again, and again......

Because of radical socalist entitlement programs the USA is doomed to the backwaters as was Britian circa 1945.....live with it. History clearly tells us who won the civil war (the freeloaders now have moved to the upper South - but they vote - as we face in the Front Range) , Germany rules Europe today, and Russia/China are on the rise.......how many times do we have to win to face the consequences of Radical . centralized socalist governments that promise utopia and deliver "Detroit".

A poll? Not an article? Talk about misinformed.

Nope a poll, not an article.

A poll by Farleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey showed that of all the news channels out there, Fox News viewers are the least informed.

But the poll only looked at news station viewers in New Jersey. One state is hardly a sample of America.

Archer, that is called cherry picking data. Thanks for playing.

I see....first you infer that it wasn't a poll but an article......shown that it was a poll, now the poll wasn't good enough. Not worth the effort to try and discuss anything with you, you won't back up what you post, and you won't accept anything from other posters that doesn't agree with your view of the issue, you just move the goal posts till you get your way. You sound like a perfect Republican to me. Have a day.

They don't move goal posts in football games, silly Archer.

And I can just imagine what you would say if I pulled out cherry picked data that based on the city of Detroit, 50% of American Democrats are illiterate. Because after 60 years of Dem rule and Dem controlled school districts, 50% of the Dem citizens of Detroit are functionally illiterate.
