Now you want to take oranges and pretend their pumpkins?

Go do a poll in Detroit and see if FOX viewers are smarter than viewers of other news stations and we will talk.

You lose. You still have not convinced anyone that polling from one state is representative of America.

If it makes you feel better to make up an artificial goal that I wasn't even aware I was working towards so you can "win"....ok, you win, I lose.

FOX NEWS CHANNEL MARKS DECADE AS THE NUMBER ONE CABLE NEWS NETWORK
FOX News Channel (FNC) achieved a rare television milestone today in clinching ten years as the number one news network in cable television. Having surpassed CNN in January 2002, FNC has now reigned over the cable news universe for an entire decade while continuing to outpace both CNN and MSNBC combined in total viewership, according to Nielsen Media Research.

More Americans are watching Fox News over any other television news outlet, according to a new Gallup poll. CNN follows a close second while stations such as ABC and MSNBC fell flat with only one percent of viewership from surveyed Americans .

Your question was...

archer wrote: Isn't FOX News the most widely seen news?....

I replied by giving actual ratings of news programs, and no Fox does not have the most widely seen news show as NBC, CBS, and ABC News far exceeds them in total viewers.

Yes, they are the highest watched cable "news" channel and have the most watched cable news program, which my second link also showed.

Now you are comparing a poll about where people supposedly get their news from to what are actually the most watched news programs. Seems apples and oranges to me. If you are now talking about all of the shows on the Fox News channel, most of those are conservative political commentary shows and not news shows, IMO. But I'll agree some people get a lot of their "news" (if you want to call it that) from right or left wing political talk shows. I wouldn't call them news shows, though.

Which has nothing to do with anything, but the exchange with Fred was fun, if not particularly enlightening. My secret is out, posting here is what I do while watching the Broncos. It keeps me from yelling at the TV, or jumping up and cheering which scares my pups.

Cheer up everyone, the Broncos are 6-0, the Aves are 5-0, life is good, and fun.

OK, you may now go back to deciding if NJ is part of these United States.

The list of consequences to this shut down is long and ugly, but God forbid the House Republicans should miss their Columbus Day weekend.

Yeah, I'm sure this will earn them a lot of sympathy and respect.

There is plenty of blame to go around. If you can only point your finger and blame then you are part of the problem. Until we the people start treating government like the employees they are instead of a sports team this will continue.
