Maybe even more fantastical - that they'd vote in a large number of independents to break the idiotic stranglehold the Reps and Dems have had that lets them get away with useless partisan rhetoric and bickering until they accomplish nothing at all?
Pretty pretty please with a cherry on top??!!
Probably too much to ask at the National level. I'm fed up with both parties too, most likely will vote Libertarian or not bother to vote at all. Either way it won't matter.
At the state and local level I think you have a better chance, slightly better.

LOL, in spite of all the hate speech spread by left wing propagandists regarding the tea party, it is a third party fifth column. Why else would the GOP fear and hate them.

If the Tea Party had any sense of responsibility they would form a third party and run as themselves, not some far right wing of the Republican party. If there are enough of them to unseat Republicans in the primaries, then they need to run on their own merits, not run on the coattails of a Republican Party that was once held in fairly high esteem, bringing both the party and it's reputation down with them.

Been reading Progressive Push Polling (PPP) again have you? To get the House back the Dems would have to win every district where Obama had the majority of the votes in 2012. it should be noted that in most of those districts the Republican won with a higher percentage of the vote than Obama did, so the chances of the Democrats winning all 17 seats are somewhere between slim and none.LadyJazzer wrote: Democrats Have A Shot At Taking Back The House As Republican Popularity Continues To Drop: Poll
"From what I've read"--(standard nomenclature for a FredHayek source-free post)--this is the third such poll that says the Dems have a serious chance to pick up the required 17 seats in 2014.

You just have to love that low information voting crowd. They want Boehner replaced with another Republican as Speaker of the House but they don't think the Republicans should be in control of the House. I tell you the public school system the "progressives" have built is doing the job they wanted it to do - dumbing down the electorate to the point they haven't the beginnings of a clue about how our government currently operates, let alone how it was intended to operate.LadyJazzer wrote:
Majority Of Americans Think It's 'Bad For The Country' That Republicans Control The House
A majority of Americans think it is bad for the country that Republicans control the House of Representatives, and even more want House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to be replaced by another Republican, according to a CNN/ORC International poll released Monday.
Fifty-four percent think it's bad that Republicans control the House, the poll found. That's up from 43 percent in December 2012, during the last fiscal standoff. The figure is the first time a majority thought Republican control was bad for the country since CNN started asking in December 2010. Sixty-three percent of respondents want Boehner replaced, but by another Republican, which would not change GOP control of the House.
The poll is yet another sign that the government shutdown has hurt the Republican party. An NBC/WSJ poll taken during the shutdown showed that 24 percent of people approved of the party, a record low. Gallup measured another record low for the GOP, with 28 percent approving. A poll released Sunday funded by Moveon.org and conducted by the Democratic-leaning Public Policy Polling showed that incumbent Republicans trailed generic Democrats in 15 of 25 competitive House districts.

The problem gets to be that everyone is happy with their own representatives, it's the bozos the citizens in the other States elected that they don't like. I'm happy with Lamborn, was happy with Coffman too before the gerrymandering of the districts done by the Democrats after the last census. Now on the Senate side of the coin, I'm with you there. Let's get rid of Udall and Bennett and replace them with someone who is going to listen to the citizens of Colorado more than they listen to the party chieftans.Science Chic wrote: Is it too much to hope for that enough of the American public has had enough and votes out the incumbents?
